What are your thoughts on how to clean a rope. I've read to put it in a bath tub and clean, I've also heard to electrician coil it and throw it in the washer. The latter sounds iffy.... What do you think is the best way?

Get a rope washer (or make one yourself out of PVC tubing) and hook it up to a garden hose bib and pull the rope through it a coupla times. Hang out on the line to dry under shade. thumbs_up.gif

A front loading washer without and agitator might be ok, but I commonly just wash em in the tub. Thats enough to get most of the grit and dirt out.

Certainly DONT put it in a washer with an agitator. You'll end up replacing the washer, in all liklihood
