bunglehead Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 So SOMETHING went wrong with my fish tank this weekednd. I came home and my tank was almost empty and a TON of my CDS and like 20 of my vinyl records were wet. Some of the stuff is unsalvageable. I think some of the vinyl is doomed. Fortuntately, my GF had a great idea to iron the CD cases, and she got most of them looking almost like nothing happened. Smart girl. She even ironed them for me. How cool is that? I owe her for that. Quote
iain Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 I hope the little bubbly treasure chest that opens and closes is still operational. Quote
bunglehead Posted February 23, 2004 Author Posted February 23, 2004 Well actually, I didn't have one of those. Quote
chucK Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 How did your vinyl get trashed? I could see that the sleeves would be ruined, but the music oughta be OK huh? Quote
bunglehead Posted February 23, 2004 Author Posted February 23, 2004 Right, just the sleeves trashed. But some of my records were 34 years old (and older). so it's not like I can go to record store and replace them. I'm prob'ly just being sentimental. I should have left the shitty vinyl on the floor. Greg_W Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 sorry about your fishies. Yeah, that's a bummer; they're easier to swallow whole when they're alive. It's like they swim down to your stomach. Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 That's a bummer. I gather that the air pump line pulled out or else the pump itself malfunctioned? If the air pump is located above the tank there is no way for it to siphon out your tank if it fails. Quote
