Gaper_Jeffy
I'm cross posting this as this is one of the most hardcore tours I've ever done. Starbucks in Beaverton, Oregon (a Portland suburb) was today's destination. The heinous terrain, frigid temperatures and gawking drivers made this tour a challenge. Braving the shallow snowpack I departed basecamp at 10am: Concerned about avalanche danger a detour to the playground was mandatory: A stash of freshies were spotted in the tennis courts. The angle looked extreme but I went anyway: While the tennis court freshies begged me to stay, I must push on to Starbucks. Dodging large avy debris (which looked like cars) I increase my pace: After extraordinary perseverance, I finally made it: 4-5?"s of snow is outside my apartment and it's still coming down. February 1995 was the last time this much snow was received in the metro area. This is surely a great start to the New Year. sketchfest
At least you made it out. The avy danger was too high to even make it out of my backyard.
