chelle Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 They've got a new name for it now too. Gastrointestinal-esophageal reflux disease...or GERD for short. And the newest over the counter remedy requires you to take it for 14 days for full effectiveness. Caaching$$$$$. Quote
Ratboy Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 Scare tactics aside, prolonged acid reflux can be a real health problem, I believe called Barrett's Disease or something like that -- a pre-cancerous condition. Quote
Ursa_Eagle Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 the point being that they're making up new names for the same problem and convincing people that the new (really expensive) drugs are the only way to cure it. Or better yet, just control the symptoms. If you cure the disease, they don't need the drug anymore. Something that just controls the symptoms however, and they got you by the balls. Quote
chelle Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Careful. Trask took the red one the other day and wasn't pleased with the view from the other side. Quote
mtn_mouse Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Not to worry. Trasks pills are given by his probation officer! Quote
allthumbs Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Wrongo, no pills, ankle bracelets and house arrest. Quote
