Distel32 Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 Glasgow and I went up to Skaha for the weekend. It was my first time. My conclusion is that it is quite cool, nice change of rock, good selection of routes (long and vertical or short and steep). All the bolts are very close. grades seemed debatable. Definitely very cool. I will be heading back for sure quite soon. Don't Fade away is awesome! GK is cool as well Quote
scrambler Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 Yeah my first trip to Skaha (hopefully not my last) was in July of this year. Awesome. I think the drive was shorter than going to Smith. Did you stay at the campground that has the free waterslide or is that gone yet? The sign at the beginning of the steps is amusing. Quote
Distel32 Posted October 27, 2003 Author Posted October 27, 2003 no we didn't stay there. Yeah the sign is awesome! Hey Gary yngve, I think we saw your UW friends, two guys one girl? one guy named Mike?? Quote

cracked Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 I couldn't go because of homework and work. Sounds like it was a great weekend to be climbing. Quote
Distel32 Posted October 27, 2003 Author Posted October 27, 2003 Mike, GK and I were trying the same line, none of us redpointed it though. Quote

Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 How you gonna send Chain Reaction if yer at Skaha? Go south, young man. Quote
Distel32 Posted October 27, 2003 Author Posted October 27, 2003 grades are definitely soft. Not sending wasn't a move issue, just a pump issue. Moves easy, lactic acid bad. Damn bouldering! Yeah I'll be back at smith the 8-9 I believe. Nice change of rock and scene though!! Quote
thelawgoddess Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 skaha never rocked my world, but it sounds like you had fun. you gonna come to indian creek and climb some cracks with me this winter? Quote
