allthumbs Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 I noticed this morning that we aren't flying the American flag like we did two years ago. We have forgotten 911. We are too busy in our own little worlds and do not want to be distracted by this fight to the death that we are involved in. If you mock me and say fight to the death? A little dramatic aren't I? Not at all. Ask any militant Muslim if they think we are in fight to the death. We are no longer Americans. We have gone back to being Irish-Americans, Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, etc. We are divided on how to best handle the situation in the Middle East. We no longer believe in the idea of compromise - the very same idea that our Constitution and our country was founded on. Meeting each other half way. Instead we entrench ourselves in our own beliefs thinking that everyone else is wrong. I am greatly disheartened. I fear we are our own worst enemy. Quote
AmberBuxom Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 its flying proud right out on the front lawn. fool. Quote
Ratboy Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 I quit even considering flying a flag the day we switch from going after the perpetrators of 9/11 and started going after the neo-cons' pet project -- Iraq. That's the day we lost our focus. Quote
hakioawa Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 You can blame your ass hole of a president for that one. He and his "evil doer" cronies have split this country once again. Bush thinks compromise is having a little war and only taking away a few rights. Quote
Scott_J Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 hakioawa, you are such a bore or is that boar from the looks of your avatar. hahahaha Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 Whachoo talkin'bout, Trask? Since the weather got cooler, DFA's been bringin' out the flag daily. Something about that nylon blend they use pretty much beats every other commercially available firestarting medium. These colors might not run, but they burn beautifully! Quote
allthumbs Posted October 8, 2003 Author Posted October 8, 2003 I'm so happy for you Flash. Always the patriot. BooYah!!! Quote
