Jim Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 One of many captured along the Wild and Scenic stretch of the Klamath River last week. Great place. Bushy-tailed woodrat (Neotoma cinerea), the common pack-chewer in the North Cascades alpine zone. Quote
Scott_J Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 I used to have a Lab that loved to chase those hairy little bastards. She never was able to nail one so I popped one in the head with a 22. She was ecstatic to bring it to daddy. Quote

What a man. thanks man. it was quit a stalk and kill. the wind was not in my favor but i crept slowly thru the munch grass and the stump grass. taking my time and slowly very slowly easing my 7x12 redfield scope on the critter before squeezing off a single round to the head. it was magnificent. The rH factor was out of this world. after the kill was confirmed, by careful viewing thru spotting scope, i sent in the yellow lab to retrieve the body. Quote

Jim Posted September 23, 2003 Author Posted September 23, 2003 Since they're primarily nocturnal and skittish this is likely BS. Whatever thought dude. If it makes you feel more manly, prop it up with whatever you need. Quote

I can see so much of the world will change from this argument that Jim seems so intent to carry it on with his little jabs. You must be bored !! Quote
Dru Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 by the way i think Jim's photo is pretty good. i found they always moved too fast to photograph. i like the pose with the tail pinch and holding it in place with the knee. reminds me a bit of those "manly" * trophy shots with the dead buck or whatever except the scale is off * I bet sisu has a bunch of these shots and i bet he's wearing shorts over polypro in them too - camoflaged of course Quote

Christ better go to the doc and get some long, dong, slong pills. Quote
Jim Posted September 23, 2003 Author Posted September 23, 2003 Thanks but the photo's overexposed. No polypro in picture. And no need to kill the beast, just let it go on it's way. And no reason to create some fking fantasy out of it. Just another day out of the office. Maybe that's the problem, too much time cooped up. Quote
