mvs Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 Hi, I'm going there in a few weeks with a friend. Any advice or trip reports that might be useful? We'd like to climb classics like Assiniboine, Andromeda, Edith Cavell. Some limestone cragging would be fun too. We have (a mere) 6 days. Info on weather, huts, books, helicopters and sandbags are really appreciated! thx! --Michael Quote

DPS Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 (edited) MVS: Wow first MVS takes the Sierras by storm, now the Rockies. I declare this to be the summer of MVS! Make sure to take lots of good slides, I expect you to have some nice ones for my third semi-annual slide show and BBQ at the end of the summer. Oh yeah, you may want to ask Alex, hes been to the Rockies a few times. Edited July 23, 2003 by danielpatricksmith Quote
mvs Posted July 23, 2003 Author Posted July 23, 2003 Tee hee! Well Kris went to the Galapagos for 3 weeks, so I've got some serious climbing time I'll wander over to Alex's office later today. Jja, RobertM and I will be there at a similar time. Looks like August 9 - 14. With the little I know right now, I'm focusing on Mt. Sir Donald, Temple and Assiniboine. Your weather backups sound good, can I copy them? Maybe we can climb Temple together or share conditions info over some Quote
Alex Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I'll be heading over this weekend, maybe I'll get to climb something cool! I will let people (mvs, timl) know conditions when I get back. There is an off chance I might be in the rockies the 10-16th, too. Quote
