Dru Posted June 22, 2003 Author Posted June 22, 2003 6 of the 72; 9 of the 100; 10 of the Proud 116... if I break my arms I know what I'm gonna be bagging while I heal! Quote
Dru Posted June 23, 2003 Author Posted June 23, 2003 BAH! Errors suck. Take Big Chief off. Its a ringer, only 8500'. Someone had misentered it at 9000'. Therefore, the numbers should be 71, 100 and 115. The bivy.com list has been updated. Quote
Roger Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 hey dru, how hard would it be to find a list of all b.c. peaks over 3350 m. (+/- 11,000 ft.)...? I'm guessing there are only maybe 10 or 12? Quote

IT'S JUST SO GODAMNED HARD TO PLEASE SOME PEOPLE i dont have any avatars on bivouac.com but that's a good idea! Quote

Don_Serl Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 cool project, dru. i love lists. makes goal-setting a cinch... fyi, i'm at 16 of your 9,000-ers, 19 of the top 100, and 21 of 115. not that knocking off this list is "on my list"! re: details, i'd argue the stuff on the fringes of the lillooet icefields is REALLY pushing the boundaries of SWBC (i.e., weekend range from vancouver). despite kobus barnard... and btw, i reckon u need to spend a bunch of time on the BC basemap to confirm heights and priorities. you'll find the latest TRIM data quite different than a lot of the topo-mapping, and i predict your list will need to change quite a bit as a result. use a clear 100m gap to eliminate sub-summits if they get to be troublesome. cheers, Quote
