Dru Posted December 14, 2001 Posted December 14, 2001 What defines old skool to you? 1) Alpenstocks and hemp rope 2) Tennis shoes and ropes tied around the waist and Army surplus ring angles. 3) webbing swamis and Terrordactyls. 4) White canvas painters pants and whillans harnesses 5) EBs worn with striped socks, chalk bags the size of basketballs hung on a biner from a tube webbing belt, and Adidas track pants 6) Lycra, Fires, and quickdraws made of two D biners. 7) 3-layer Goretex, simond pirahnas, purple fleece, and a carpet chunk for a crash pad? And Kwadai Dan Sinchi in the Yukon. Yeah... and they went and got Messner to come and take a look ot "Otzi" the Iceman, and Messner just grabbed the body and yanked it off the ice. And it turns out the Iceman's dick was still frozen to the ice and when Messner did that the poor ice man's whole genital apparatus was ripped right off the body and remained frozen to the ice. Which goes to show you that climbing 8000m pks without O's does not make you an archaeologist. I was waiting for the headline in "Hot Flashes" - REINHOLD MESSNER RIPS DEAD GUYS BALLS OFF - but they never ran it. Quote
