I'm not gonna lie, I kinda of liked the road being out....just because it cut down on the # of people up in that area when I drove around to get there. olyclimber Posted November 13, 2023 Author Share Posted November 13, 2023 I drove the road this weekend, hiked up the Blanca in the snow. The new road section is well done. I hiked that section when the road was out and was wondering how they would do it, of course had to go up the hillside away from the river. There is an immediate 11% grade to get up away from the river. the road to the blanca trailhead is washed out, but not meaningfully (only adds 1/4 mile and is passable by high clearance 4x4 if you really want to get up the road). 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
