christian510 Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Soloed the Reed Headwall two weeks ago, Sat. Conditions are good. Two great sections of ice have formed and one nice short 50 degree ice bulge neer the top. I passed a team of three at the second run of ice. the leader was actually placing an ice screw. My favorite route on the mountain so far. Quote
texplorer Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 christian dude, sounds like your a decent climber but they will execute you for mistyping things around here. I would also recommend the Yoakum ridge on Hood. Quote
iain Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 or Why Yeast? my favorite slog route. but perhaps the hardboiled hardman wants to tackle a difficult scramble...kastle superstore crags is a tough egg to crack go for it Quote
Alex Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 last I heard, the Idiot Headwall over on the North side of Hoad was worth exploring Quote
CraigA Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 The Blank Spyder on the east side doesn't sea many accents. You could probably log a therd or forth accent on that route!! Craig Quote

Soloed Devils Kitchen Headwall.....very impressive I checked it out from on top of Steel Cliff (climbing the Wy'East route) and it looked awesome. I don't think I'd solo it but I'd love to rope up and do it. Craig p.s. if I misspelled anything....let me have it Quote
