  1. Nice effort. You should of suffered on. It doesn't get much worse -- honest. And, if you would have kept going you could have retrieved my BD from the third gendy. I recommend doing the route at night when its coulder. I remember our picks holding a little better after sunset. At least then you can't really see the exposure. No fear then.
  2. Hey, I just got the word on the party, but I'm not quite sure about its location. I couldn't pin it down in all the jabber going around. So where is it exactly? Christian
  3. Hey, I'm up for it. I'm interested in Kauts (?) ridge, Liberty ridge at the moment. I reside in the Portland area. I can leave town Friday's around 5:30 pm and take Monday off if need be. I prefer One day - day and a half ascents tops. I'm not much for bivi's if I can help it. let me know what your thoughts, goals are and we will see if its a match. Cheers, Christian
  4. I am up for a party as long as someone is up for a climb. I don't have a guide book in front of me at the moment, but Trout peak is on my list of climbs to do. I'm a strong climber and would like the chance to meet other alpinists. I live in the Portland area and tipically drive Friday night to the trail head, dos out in the back of my car or just hit the trail for the route. So, yes I'm up for a party! And a little suffer-fest to boot!
  5. Hey most of those climbs are on my tick list. I currently reside in Portland and would be interested in meeting up withyou to make some of those climbs happen. Let me know what you think. I can take a friday of monday off if the weather looks really good. Cheers, Christian
  6. Sounds like people around here are more interested in my typing than climbing. Anyway, just thought I would drop all you spray geeks a line about my last climb -- this time I found a partener. We climbed Yokum ridge Saturday. 15 hours round trip. We made an error locating the correct couloir to reach the top or the Queen's chair. I ended up leading some AI 6 rime ice. VERY HEAD'S UP. I will give more info later.
  7. Soloed the Reed Headwall two weeks ago, Sat. Conditions are good. Two great sections of ice have formed and one nice short 50 degree ice bulge neer the top. I passed a team of three at the second run of ice. the leader was actually placing an ice screw. My favorite route on the mountain so far.
  8. I'm looking for a partener to climb NF route or Sunnyside. I like to go light and in one day -- No Mazama expeditions for me. I am looking at weekend of March 1st or when ever the weather clears. I currently reside in Portland, OR. Let me know if this sounds like fun to you.
  9. I am looking for climbing parteners for an ascent of the NF route weekend of March 1st. I like to go light and in one push. I also have thoughts of exploring the Sunnyside route. While I'm at it. Does anyone have good beta on Mt. Colonial.
