olyclimber Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 If you're into this sort of thing, I created us a group on Strava: https://www.strava.com/clubs/cascadeclimbers Use to motivate each other to train, get better, etc. Quote
mthorman Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Nice! I haven't been as active as normal on Strava recently but great idea of getting a group going there. Quote
olyclimber Posted January 1, 2023 Author Posted January 1, 2023 I ended up with around 200 miles of trail and back country, and around 56,000 ft of elevation gain from a few more than 12 peak scrambles I did with the dog this year! Looking forward to doing more in 2023....I know some of you probably log way more than this, but considering all the other things I was able to do this year (I started cycling a lot in August, I think I put 1800 miles on the bikes). Was a good year! 1 Quote
Fairweather Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 Do you track your elev gain on the bike too? It adds up fast! Quote

OlympicMtnBoy Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 (edited) Ok, I just joined as I need some motivation. I’m new to this Strava thing, I’ve been using MapMyFitness and Gaia, do you all track things in more than one app at a time? I tend to use one for my conditioning runs and bikes and Gaia for actual outdoor adventures. Also logging my excuses early, almost all my around town activities involve jogging with a stroller and a dog in tow. It doesn’t make me faster. 😉 Edited January 24, 2023 by OlympicMtnBoy 1 Quote
olyclimber Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 You can track with many apps apps, but I use Strava for it alll. Quote
