Good to see somethign was done. It still kinda rubs the wrong way that he blamed the whole thing on the gardener, when, in reality, I bet it was more than a "misunderstanding"

I wonder how much the view increases the value of his house?

 

I hope they use some of that money to erect a giant billboard with all-night fluorescent lighting pointed right at his deck (until the new trees reach the height of the previous ones in 30 years). Maybe they could put a picture of this guy on it.

Well, I'm glad the money went back into the park. I was afraid it might go back into the general fund and pay for city officials' green fees or something.

I'm 95% positive that the gardener was doing what the judge ask him to do.

 

It's good to see the judge paying so much, and it's nice to see the money going to the parks. There is a serious lack of money for keeping things up in the city parks. Ivy, laurel, holly, and a bunch of other agresive nonnative species are killing native plants and there are lots and lots of hazardous trees on city park land.

 

When the economy was good there was talk of expanding the budget for maintenance, but now there's no money for anything. Someday a hazardous tree is going to kill someone, and then folks will start bitching.

Maybe Comrade Locke and his jack-booted thugs will take a pay cut and donate the surplus to parks.
