Iowa Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 (edited) Full traverse of all 12 peaks, Stevens to Eagle, in 13H:34M, and car to car (back on the Wonderland Trail) in 15H:35M, for what we believe is an FKT. Too long of a TR to post here, so full TR and pictures is up on my blog: http://www.runningfarther.com/tatoosh-traverse-fkt/ Edited July 21, 2017 by Iowa Quote
Stefan Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 That is pretty darned cool. I knew a couple of people who did the Tatoosh traverse over 30 years ago in a day. There were no websites back then. Quote
JasonG Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Yeah! This has been on my list for some time, though I would camp and make it leisurely. I've climbed all the major peaks of the Tatoosh over the years, but doing them all in one trip would be very cool. And that view...... Quote
DPS Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 So, I've done a couple of these peaks in winter. It seems like the Tatoosh Traverse would be very cool, and accessible, in winter. Must add that one to the list of winter traverses I'll never do which include the Stuart Range traverse (NW Face Stuart, West Face Couloir Sherpa, something on Argonaut, West Face of Colchuck, and something on the NF of Dragontail or possibly NE Couloir) and TFT in winter, or the Cascade Pass traverse (Eldorado, Torment, Forbidden, Shark Fin, Sahale), and the Alpental Traverse (Denny-Tooth, Hemlock, Bryant, Chair, NF Snoqualmie, Guye Peak).
