The problem, in my experience, with HSA compliant plans.... was that they aren't cheaper. You pay more for crappier insurance (excluding the benefits of earnings sheltering in the HSA, which for someone who will likely participate a couple of years are negligible, especially considering the investment options commonly offered) Perhaps it's just an implementation issue.
