  1. Changing the rules is another way of saying it is someone else's fault. A close internal examination would probably be more productive. Turning up the volume in the echo chamber won't play a new song. In addition to a dated format you have stickies from 2007 and older. You're sending a message that this place is long past it's peak. If you're still having to say the same thing seven years later you're simply doing it wrong.
  2. I have Trango Evo's, P-Guides and the LS Siderail ski boots. For lower Cascade climbing and skiing that pretty much covers everything. I have had LS Nepals and the P-Guides are a huge improvement (warmth and dexterity). If I just had to have a pair of double boots I'd probably look at the Pantom 6000's (assuming they fit you) because they are nearly the same external volume and weight as the P-Guide. Given your plans and location I would look at a warmer liner for the TLT's and pair of gaitor'd single boots. If you have to have doubles make sure you look at the Phantom 6000's in addition to Spantiks.
  3. Highly conditions dependent. I did Jeff Park last week and the Molar was not reversible. In dry conditions this may be possible but not sure right now because you'd have to down-climb vertical rime ice. Your other option is camp at 7000' and leave all of your gear there, summit, and then come down the Milk Creek glacier traversing the Russell and Jefferson Park glaciers back to camp. The Whitewater decent described on SP is really long with unknown conditions. We walked straight down Milk Creek and traversed under the rock, across the glaciers, and directly back to camp without having to climb back up anything. Decent only took three hours this way.
  4. I know an inside source that is suggesting there is possibly more mountains to climb. It hasn't been confirmed yet so it is only a rumor at this point.
  5. It looks like the failure comes from trying to wrench the heal lever on when the boots aren't completely lined up in the crampons.
  6. Anyone know if there is any worthwhile climbing at Table Rock park in Medford? I can't find anything suggesting it gets climbed which is odd. Is it junk rock or just the best secret ever given how prominent the rock is from I-5?

But the company was successfully run by his sister since then. Not really, Acopa has been gone for a while now.

  9. This isn't the first complaint of this sort that I've heard about Cilo. There's lots of choices though I haven't spent much time dwelling on it.
  10. Dan, I'll take the gear sling. PM sent.
  11. I have a Speed 40 pack. I really like the roll top feature. It handles surprisingly well for a 40L pack and is pretty light weight. It's no 28L no-frills sack but still pretty good. You can get them for about $125 on sale.
  12. The Preamble is as much a part of the Constitution as an introduction is part of a book or APA formatted paper. "We the people..." does not exist in the Declaration of Independence.
  13. actually, internet-wunderkind, "we the people" are the first 3 fucking words of the constitution! (far catchier than jefferson's "in the course") actually you are full of shit, it's the preamble to the constitution. It's obvious you don't know the difference and what it means. The actual document, as it was originally written, includes... I thought your point was that "We the people" was in the Declaration of Independence?
