Addiction to drugs has a direct correlation to taking drugs, which has a direct correlation to lack of discipline which has to do with parenting. In whatever way you choose to raise your kid, do it to the best of your ability. I was a taught a "yessir, yes maam" way of life which was enforced with spanking with a 24 in shoe horn. I am glad my dad did that. I am not all fucked up and on drugs (though apparently I should be because spanking is child abuse and apparently child abuse leads to drug addiction).
