  1. It's not too late to join the Military and be a man!! never too late just too early but if Obama becomes president you won't be doing anything anyway. the navy seals are too hardcore for me though.

  5. wow...that really shows our lack of appreciation for these guys.
  6. Well if you want to do the best with what we have..... should we not take care of OUR home first? Who gives a shit about Iraq. Our own country has been ran into the ground. Health care, education and just plain food on the table for most Americans should be first. Not Iraq and there problems. what do you mean Kevbone...i'm in skool right now and our edjucation is fine.
  7. yeah it really sucks...we topped out though. no we rappelled off the tree(twig) in the middle of pitch 2 not the nut. I'm guessing when I say 50 meters, probably less. I had the only nut tool and he couldn't get it out. We decided to get it on the way down but forgot about it since we were in such a rush.
  8. Hey I took my brother up his first multipitch today on GNS. He did good but it took longer than expected. First we started the first rappell in the dark. Next the rope got stuck (had to cut it) and then with a 50m rope we had to set an intermediate rappell station halfway up pitch 2 and had to leave a sling and some biners. We got down to the top of the "3rd class" approach chimney and decided to rappell down it since it was dark and we didn't have headlamps. Anyway I lost a bunch of shit and if you're heading up there soon I'd really appreciate it if you could take a look and see if you can find it. Thanks! Oh and there's also a nut around the halfway point on pitch 2.
  9. Sorry for the stupid question. I've never been to the Index climbing area when I have to be the navigator so can someone refresh my memory on how to get there from Index. Thanks

  21. what are some examples of good ice routes in the pickets? Fall alpine or Winter water ice.
  22. What are some routes similar in difficulty to Ptarmigan Ridge?
  23. (thought this might be a more appropriate place to post this) So say someone has completed many of the hard routes in Washington (ptarmigan ridge, stuart razorback, etc.) and still wants to take his climbing to the next level. Where should he go? Are there many routes in the Northwest above these in difficulty and length? If not where is the next place to go...Waddington range, alaska, peru? The Pickets seem like an obvious destination but I just can't find any beta on the climbs there. Any tips, ranges, and routes ideas in washington would be appreciated I'm not at this level yet but have been curious as to where to go next once you're climbing these routes.
  24. yup
