  1. Hey I took my brother up his first multipitch today on GNS. He did good but it took longer than expected. First we started the first rappell in the dark. Next the rope got stuck (had to cut it) and then with a 50m rope we had to set an intermediate rappell station halfway up pitch 2 and had to leave a sling and some biners. We got down to the top of the "3rd class" approach chimney and decided to rappell down it since it was dark and we didn't have headlamps. Anyway I lost a bunch of shit and if you're heading up there soon I'd really appreciate it if you could take a look and see if you can find it. Thanks! Oh and there's also a nut around the halfway point on pitch 2.
  2. Sorry for the stupid question. I've never been to the Index climbing area when I have to be the navigator so can someone refresh my memory on how to get there from Index. Thanks

  13. what are some examples of good ice routes in the pickets? Fall alpine or Winter water ice.
  14. What are some routes similar in difficulty to Ptarmigan Ridge?
  15. (thought this might be a more appropriate place to post this) So say someone has completed many of the hard routes in Washington (ptarmigan ridge, stuart razorback, etc.) and still wants to take his climbing to the next level. Where should he go? Are there many routes in the Northwest above these in difficulty and length? If not where is the next place to go...Waddington range, alaska, peru? The Pickets seem like an obvious destination but I just can't find any beta on the climbs there. Any tips, ranges, and routes ideas in washington would be appreciated I'm not at this level yet but have been curious as to where to go next once you're climbing these routes.
  16. yup
  17. I live right by it. If you're ever going over there and need a partner I'm almost always available after school and on weekends. pm me
  18. I've heard the North side gets fun ice routes in winter if you're into that kinda stuff.

    Hurricane Gustav

Gustav!!! Wtf why did they have to give it such a gay name! It sounds like New Orleans is about to take it up the butt my Gustav. Couldn't they have picked a cooler name! Am I the only one who thinks this!

    School's Starting!

My friend and I once convinced another kid to jump off the indoor balcony onto the first floor. He was pretty screwed up mentally before the jump and physically after the jump. I guess some of us just know how to jump off second stories better than others.
  24. ...winter Any weekend(s) until the snow starts falling. weekdays until sep 5 some ideas Serpentine Ridge Backbone Ridge Stuart North Ridge Stuart West Ridge Lexington Tower East face SEWS Southwest buttress Slesse Ne buttress if i can get a ride and other long stuff I'm comfy leading about 5.8 in the alpine but push it a little sometimes.
