I hasten to remind you that the U.S. Senate is currently comprised of 49 Republicans, 49 Democrats, and two Independents; the House of Representatives is 233 Democrats and 202 Republicans. Don't you feel stupid when you actually believe the garbage you hear on fox news and conservative talk radio?

Not nearly as impressed with you as you clearly are yourself. If Bush is so intelligent, explain his rejection from UT Law (his only non-legacy application). Although it is a fine law school, surely UT would be safety school for a legitimate Ivy league graduate. If you yourself are so intelligent, why can't you manage to spell Senator Kerry's name, or ad nauseam. Boasting about membership in an undergraduate honor society is comparable to wearing a high school letterman jacket past age eighteen. I know acceptance of Phi Beta Kappa invitations has dropped, and now I have an idea why. Most of all, thanks for proving my point on the disconnect between intelligence and formal education.

Why not give them more time, as he is asking? I mean, its not as if these people have royally screwed up on us ever before. Then next summer they can ask for more time, etc.

Do yourself a favor - google "legacy admission" and spare yourself further embarrassment. I mean, the guy couldn't even get into the UT law school (his first scheme to avoid Vietnam) because his daddy couldn't buy his way into a public school. Extra credit for finding the speech where Dumbya himself - the posterboy for white affirmative action - calls for an end to legacy admissions.
