Tell the AZ Sec of State: "Mitt Romney may be a unicorn! Investigate!"

I think it's an old wive's tale? I was so hungry in the middle of the night that it would wake me up. And I noticed a huge reduction in morning fatigue when I stopped going to bed hungry, and my fasting blood sugar in the morning is way better, too

Environmental snuff photos!!

So do you use Casein at night? I've started and it's made a huge difference in terms of the usual "morning ache" I feel. I was pretty skeptical of "fitness nutrition" products, but as I've started training a lot more I've noticed a huge improvement from them. The other biggest improvement was reducing the glycemic load of my meals. I'm personally susceptible to insulin resistance, so maybe it's more important for me than others, but it made a really big difference. I still eat tons of carbs, though

This is really good advice. I funked up my knee a few winters ago skiing -- typical ACL-tear symptoms, but none of the images showed an actual ACL tear. The Dr.'s all figured it was just "partially" torn (i.e. stretched), which apparently is hard to see in an image. They recommended I have my knee scoped to take a look "in person." Instead I talked to a PT and hit the gym and did some leg/hip/ankle exercises and my knee is definitely more secure, and my long-time ITB issues seem to be resolving as well. So, +1 to conditioning as a better prophylactic to injury than braces.

yeah, i thought it was kind of weird he didn't steal anything else. It's almost like he was targeting it.

DOMA is unconstitutional It's strange to me that people in this day and age still publicly support institutionalized federal discrimination of an entire minority segment of our citizenry. But, I guess people fought to keep schools segregated, too. Weird, though, isn't it? If I were that much of a bigot I think I'd just keep my mouth closed. I mean, who wants to be remembered for fighting against a civil rights movement?

One of these is not like the other

A good patriot only ever has bad things to say?

translation: you're not a real liberal if you don't hate america
-
Singing Kumbayah and blowing red, white, and blue smoke up each other's asses doesn't show up in the chart? Must be something wrong with the maths. See, there it is again. You seem to have a real problem with anybody having a favorable opinion of America at anytime, for any reason.

I guess I don't really climb anymore, either.

Prole climbs??

I mean, that's basically the message, right? "Don't be patriotic! Look at this. You should be ashamed, instead!"
-
Well, I can only speak for myself, but I'd rather that you presented a critical view of American policy without also making fun of people who spent the previous day grateful for American heroes, which is how this thread started (and what the other one turned into). Maybe I'm just wrong, but it seems to me that your message (and j_b's) is generally that it is wrong to have an overall favorable view of America -- virtually anytime anything positive is stated, you respond with a criticism. It's almost like you don't want there to be anything positive. Your message would be better received (by me, at least) if it didn't seem like you had an axe to grind.

Maybe I'm supposed to feel guilty that I'm not homeless and that my children aren't poor? I dunno, aren't guilt and sympathy two different emotions? To each his own, I guess.
-
i don't know why anybody should feel personally guilty about something somebody else did, but I guess we're a pretty strange species. It seems to me that guilt is usually felt when, you know, you're guilty? I don't remember ever bringing smallpox to any natives. Aren't those somebody else's crimes? I don't know why I'm supposed to feel guilty when I discuss it. I dunno, it all seems so catholic.
-
Then that's your choice. I'm pro-choice.
-
Prole, don't you have any real friends on your FB or is it all just old HS people plus your mom?
-
I guess we could always draft the poor? Oh wait, I guess we're already doing that.

Out of a fraction of our unreasonably massive defense budget.

I can say for sure that id like to see increased funding for emergency shelters, particularly family shelters, as well as more public housing. These areas are woefully underfunded and there are a surprising number of homeless families in the Seattle school district. It's very sad.
