Actually I hurt it at work...alot of repeatitive wrist motion, pulling, lifting, twisting. (I do custom picture framing). I can't afford to see anyone is the problem. It is improving, but I'm still working which slows the progress.

Any advice for my wrist...I wrote about it above. I can't afford to go see a doc.

Hey, I hurt my wrist (the inside...thumb side) at work about 1 1/2 months ago. It used to hurt badly and I would get pins and needles in my hand (swolen tendon pushing on nerves). Now it hurts if any pressure is applied. I don't have insurance so I've read alot and self medicated. I haven't climbed since I wear a wrist brace at work I ice 3x a day and have now done alternating hot and cold I lift light weights, but I don't push it (I have a big trip to city of rocks planned) I take B6, Turmeric and Bromelain (helps joints), and Glucosamine. Good luck! I hope some of this is helpful. Oh, I read taking Ibrofin actually slows the healing process, so I rub Arnica gel on it 3x a day

Bill its awesome that you do this for local climbers! I have a messed up tendon in my wrist right now, but after a month+ I'd love to come down and check it out! -
Ummm the group climb part.

What is PDX midweek climb night? I'm pretty new to climbing (one year+ and REALLY new to trad). But I love it and learned up at Rocky Butte, which I also love. Thanks for the tips guys!

Hmmm, I hurt my wrist awhile back and usually it seems fine (pulling on plastic) until yesterday when I went outside and on a side pull I felt my wrist lose all strenghth. Any tips for wrist recovery???

Luckily I had a bunch of cordalette and some webbing my partner sent up to me. Silver bullet area looked fine. Hmm, I new to climbing at rocky, what a horrible tradition!!!

Not on Monday! Why!!!???

So I know Rocky Butte is a bit on the ghetto side, but when its nice outside and you only have a few hours its a great place to throw out your rope. So I was warming up on Blueberry Jam (easy 5.9 trad route) and once I got up to the anchors I saw that they had been hack sawed off. I glanced over at the routes next door and their anchors had been cut as well. I only saw about three sets of anchors cut (it must have been recent?)

Suddenly since they recieved this big dump of snow they might extend the season....
