I need a bigger pack for winter climbing and gear intensive trips. I have an older Osprey ceres 50 and would like something about 70 litres (4271 cu. in.) or so I do have a dinosaur of a jansport that is 110 litres so please nothing bigger than that. I climbed Adams this weekend and we used a UL 3 season backpacking tent in sustained 30-40 mph winds and it was fine. The three person tent might be nice because it would allow the party to be more social but, at the same time that means NO privacy.

what type opf binding does the old pair have? I don't have a toe bail on my summer boots

I am looking for a solid pair of crampons. I would prefer to get some with a heel flip and without a toe bail, (one of my boots only has the heel flip). Ask all of your buds and clean out your closets.

I wish their(MHW) Chugach Jacket came with the option of a hood.

I am looking for a good (also not so expensive)belay jacket. I would like it to be on the lighter end, be fairly compressable and have a 2 way zipper(for the belay device). So far I have looked at: Moonstone Cirris hooded jacket OR zero jacket Patagonia micro puff and DAS This will be a 4 season jacket used in all sorts of applications (sport,ice and alpine climbing) Which would you chose or are there others that I am overlooking?
