  1. latest from the National Weather Service, regarding the forecast for next week:

     

    Monday through Thursday: Periods of snow and rain. Snow level 3000 feet Monday rising to 4500 feet Wednesday and 6000 feet on Thursday. Afternoon pass temperatures in the 30s.

     

    and that was for the west slope of the North Cascades, I would expect the other areas farther south will be even warmer...

     

    this will be a likely scenereo (sp?) for this winter: lots of snow just below freezing then warming. all the same though, lots of good skiing to be had if you time it right! :-)

    And flooding--the "rain on snow" events release so much water the earth can't absorb it. Should be fun!
