  1. I give up. Rat poison tastes like crap too.
  2. Gene, I'm just hoping to hit a couple. But a lot to see... yer damn right. Depends on job start-date, and/or how much dough I can bank now. Hope to "see you" in June.
  3. I can ship stuff on the greyhound, can't I?
  4. "You're a lousy fuckin' softball player, Jack!"
  5. blues, that's perfect! That's what I thought you meant. I eluded to my affiity for applying this theory to everything I do, whether it climbing, guitars, or whatever, in my original post here. You're just the first one, in here or otherwise, who has validated that for me. I couldn't agree more. Your advice trumps everything I've read and heard. It makes a lotta sense. I'm inspired! Really good stuff.
  6. There's climbable rock and ice near columbus in Hocking Hills St. Park: illegal, although there is a small part of it that's designated for climbing (mostly rap'n) and there's a waterfall there that seldom touches down.
  7. Eastcoast, I'm feeling better about doing some home training. Cale, I'm in Ohio. But I'll be back in the PNW by fall.
  8. blueserac, can you elaborate on what you mean by going old school?
  9. I can't for the life of me figure out how to just quote a line or two of text in here.
  10. it's well-within my grade. That 3rd pitch is just scary as hell.
  11. Good call. Been meanin' to check out City. Got "lost" in the wind rivers last trip out. Wyoming is pretty amazing. Haven't climbed there yet though. The Tetons are truly amazing. Can I climb the grand 'n still be down in time for happy hour?
  12. copy that.
  13. I'm planning a traverse of the states between Ohio and B'ham (one- way) via I-90 in early or mid-summer. Without going (too) far off-route, what crags/routes/peaks/singletrack/bars/cat houses/opium dens/buffets/parties/diners/headshops/roadcuts/festivals/swap meets/strip clubs would you suggest I make a point to hit along the way? I know crags exist in norhern midwest states that one might not typically think of i.e. illinois, nebraska, michigan and S Dakota (and probably others). I've never taken 90 or thought about doin' much til the rockies. Any links you could hook me with that might potentially aid in finding partners at these spots would be cool too, such as local websites, forums, friends, etc... along with good campgrounds or maybe a hostel. :brew:Cheers!
  14. It relies upon your free volition. But ideally you will come around to my favored point of views. A pint to you. I'd like a free pint! Now there's something I can come around to!
  15. Thazz what I'm tawggin' 'bout.
  16. sobo, good deal!
  17. Is this "well-mannered" advice? Nonetheless... good points. And I don't enjoy wallowing all that much.
  18. How long were you with your druggie skank? Nice.
  19. Spoken like a true christian. Hypocricy a little? Asshole
  20. limestone Was it folded? Reminds me of Seneca rocks' structure: folded on top of itself then back up to inverted. Any geo-geeks in here?
  21. lodestone beat me to it. This stuff was formed similarly to sea stacks. Differential weathering... that kinda stuff.
