Hi Wirlwind, I have a car...looking for others to want to carpool. Are you looking to head out there?

I am going to the Bugs for a month starting in early July. I would like to find some folks to share the ride, I am pretty flexible on the dates... Send me a message.

I took a 50+ footer on White Lightning climbing off route at the crux....when I peeled, I somehow managed to do a crouching, standing glissade forward down the rock using a hand as a rudder.....well, I ended up with 2nd degree friction burns on the palm of my right hand after the whole thing... I still have a score to settle with that climb...but next time Ill take fingerless gloves. As for running down the rock....i guess its possible, I've seen it done on shorter falls, but if you trip up..... have some pictures in you pocket so that they can i.d. you at the hospital.

Anyone know about the Lowa Cristallo GTX? How about the Meinl Alpine GTX? Any opinions are appreciated.

Anyone know anything about the Stuart Range traverse? The one Croft soloed a few years back? Beta?

Hi Stemalot, For what its worth...I think you should wait a year and buy the trangos....let them work out the bugs...for sure there will be issues with play in the bushings of the outer lobes as they wear. Wait for the 2nd generation. They look great though, I agree. As for passive, only time it was an issue for myself was when a camalot walked into a flaring offwidth on me....I was happy to know it would have held....but it would have mangled the cam. cheers.

Has anyone purchased a Arc'teryx jacket of late and had a problem with the bill being too floppy? My friend has an older model and the bill is made from stiffer material. When I tension the drawstrings on mine it does a imitation of a sine curve...I contacted the company and they were dicks. I think I'll return it. What happened to them?...used to be a good company.
