I don’t necessarily think IB is a big wall, but I do feel small on it. I do think it has big wall things about it. But as the description above……it is not a big wall.

Does anyone know what really happened. I have heard three different stories. Top of the cliff. Bottom of the cliff.....wave hit him? Slipped on the rock?

The right side of the pillar is kind of a neat climb, although there is pro, it is kind of blind placements. In 11 years of climbing at Beacon, I have climbed FFA maybe 50 times, I have climbed the right side of the pillar one time. That was enough for me.

There is a lot of things wrong with this list.

I was boating on the river around Beacon, I watched climbers about 1-2 and 4-5 pm. I didn't see any helicopters or accidents. I was driving around and also down on the boat dock around 3 or so today....did not see anyting unusual.....hope the person is ok.

I posted this as a “trip report” because…..well…..I don’t climb as much as I used to now that I am a dad……it was a big deal for me to go over night somewhere…..and to climb this particular route was intriguing for so many reasons……I did not think this “trip report” would go more than a page or two……I wanted to see the route with my own eyes, then I would have first hand knowledge of the ongoing discussion. Thread drift is popular with folks here on this site……I see nothing wrong with it. As long as you and I stay away from the visuals and personal attacks. As long as the mods don’t mind us continuing this discussion on a trip report.

Rain on TV? Damn...I wish I had cable.....matter of fact....I wish I had a TV!
