    Superdelegates

I think the entire voting system needs to be changed. The idea of a delegate is lame. Then you have “super” delegates……WTF. It should be you show up…..you vote. Everybody gets to vote one time. Who ever gets the most votes wins. This seems so simple.
  3. Beacon is closed. Madrone is closed. Broughtons - Greasy basalt but excellent climbing Ozone – blocky basalt, excellent climbing with a view Carver – basalt, mostly likely will be wet, a lot of moss and a super great summer crag Rocky Butte- more basalt right next to a busy freeway. This crag faces north so if its cool you will be too! I don’t like climbing there because of all the glass and punks that hang out on top drinking. Bill Coe is a good guide for this place. Your best bet to get in dry climbing IMO is Broughtons or Ozone.
  4. What university?
  5. You have not answered my question. Who is that?
  6. Mmmm.....for what I have read about the E grading scale. I have to say it sounds gay!
  7. You rule Kellie.....thanks again for all your volunteer work you do on the Madrone wall. Sorry I will not be in attendance to help. Child care issues……
  8. Who was that? Mandela?
  9. I am having a hard time deciding if your words are from personal experience. If you are just cocky by nature or do you back up your words with “hard trad” sends?
  10. “Hard” trad climbing is relative my friend. 5.11 trad at Beacon is hard for most people. I don’t know what the “E” scale relates to in the Yosemite grade scale.
  11. Hexes are great for climbing in the mountains. Great if you have to leave something behind. I have placed my share. But..... Come on down to Beacon and try to climbing there with a rack of hexes and tri cams, not that you cant....but a rack full of cams makes things alot easier on hard climbs. (SE corner excluded) Look at all the top trad climbers in the world or your back yard. Do they have a rack full of tri camms and hexes? No...they sure do not.
  12. You already have a set of nuts……great. Get another set. Then get rid of your hexes….and do not waste your money on tri-cams. Learning to place hexes is a good thing. But eventually you will keep them in your garage. Good luck to you.
  13. I so have to agree.
  14. I noticed sometimes there are folks (mostly women) who always ask for extra extra hot drinks at Starbucks or what ever coffee shop I am in. I actually witnessed a women who placed her hand on the requested drink and told them to remake it…..” it is not hot enough” she said. I know someone who does this only to wait 20 minutes for it to cool down before drinking it. WTF. One would think to order it a regular temp so they could start drinking it right away. My question is: Is it ethical to think of these people as complete morons?
  15. The only lame thing about it is we are all in the dark about the original topic. What would get Minx’s goat to have her pull and entire thread? mmmmmm
  16. Area 51 all over again
  17. Time away from home puts more stress on those who stay and watch the youngster……therefore my time at the crag is considerably shorter.
  18. Love Seattle but is a little on the big side for me. I love Portland.
