That driver deserves a cash bonus just for dealing with this one encounter (on top of probably working long ass hours this week in shitty conditions). Last night there was the group of people who got on the bus just to avoid a 4 block walk... then got mad when the bus did not stop where they wanted.... but 4 blocks past that (WTF? we have to walk 4 blocks anyways!)

A young kid gets on the bus this morning. The driver starts off and suddenly we all get treated to Nirvana at full blast. The driver turns his head and tells the kid to turn it down. Soon things get even more stupid: Kid: "Have we passed the McDonald's yet" Passenger with some disability: "No, not yet" Kid to driver: "Will you be going right past the Safeway?" Driver: "We are running the normal route" pause Kid to driver: "Will you be going right past the Safeway? You know which one I mean?" Driver: "We are running the normal route" pause Kid: "Where does this route go?" Driver: - describes entire route with every turnoff and intersection - Kid: "Can you drop me off by the Safeway?" Driver: "I've told you the route already. I'm not repeating myself" Kid: begins to nod his head, falling asleep. Wakes up and asks "Can you drop me off by the Safeway?" Driver: "You need to take less drugs and think more" Kid: "I don't take drugs... but can you answer my question?" Driver: "I am trying to drive... can't you see the conditions outside?" Kid: pause. "I just need to know if you are going by the Safeway" Driver: "I'm not going to do your thinking for you. I told you the route. Think for yourself" Kid: "I don't even know where we are now" Driver: "We are at the intersection of 24th and 156th" ...this convo continued in like terms until the kid got off the bus... Be afraid, America.

Chris Poland is better than both of these guys, IMO (and I think Dave M agrees). The guy's eclectic roots and influences and his frenetic style are simply spectacular. Friedman is a close second though...
