  1. Me too.
  2. This is not a contest.
  3. No wonder you don't have patience. Thinking--nay, *knowing* that you are so much more experienced than others must make it tough to put up with us bumbling mortals.
  4. Where are these posts, I can't track em.
  5. I don't want to seem lame here, but do you see what I mean about the undercurrent of violence? When you use the worn "aimed" it implies a weapon. I know that probably sounds nitpicky psychobably, but I can't help but think that its possible that our words really reveal more about what we are thinking than we even realize they do. Maybe I am just losing it.
  6. Before I respond, is this meant for me? If so, could you flesh this out a bit. I think I must have misunderstood you.
  7. I don't advocate waiting for others to evolve to fit your needs. I do advocate evoking what I believe must exist in all people--the ability to be loving, forgiving, kind, etc.
  8. Strangely, I don't even think it is the violence itself so much as the pervasive threat of violence that permeates our society. Please see my edit... Please reread my statement above. It stands the same regardless of your parenting techniques.
  9. These sound like extremes to me. One does not have to be altruistic to be kind, loving, and respectful.

  11. Because this is not a game. These are human beings. I somehow think (maybe I am totally wrong here...) that if I refuse to play, then guys will only be left to play with themselves. And I don't care if a guy is single, gay, married, whatever. I am interested in finding people who are unafraid to love and to show that they do, honestly, have heart.
  12. This. This is what teaches men that using the threat of violence is the way to force others to act as if they believe what you believe. I think that is wrong. Something in my gut (besides the Krispee Kreme I just ate) tell me this is wrong.
  13. I just don't agree.
  14. I have no interest in doing this, and I refuse to believe this. I will maintain my own values regardless of what I have seen so far (I still have a lot longer to go I think, so I am not going to say I know more today than I will tomorrow). I prefer not to base my values on a reactionary stance--even though my behaviors are, sadly, often reactionary.
  15. Why would what I have learned be "baggage" rather than "life's lesson"?
  16. My first lesson about men from him: Women are disposable/replaceable. Heartless. Utterly heartless. And I have learned this lesson over and over from almost every man I have ever met.
  17. Somehow I'm missing the (inside?) joke about the word "speach". I don't agree that it's abhorrent. It's no worse than a newspaper publishing names and crimes based on police reports, television showing images of US bombs dropped on civilians, or religious radio stations broadcasting hate messages about abortion. If anything, it rousts people like yourself to action to correct the injustices you perceive in his words. Btw, what specifically to you object to in his message? What exactly has he said that's riled you up so? i think its the whole "sperm-depository" used up thing...its pretty damn degrading/objectifying and he totally encourages younger males to approach women with that attitude... I'd beat the tar out of my sons if i find out that they treated a woman that way...even if i'm 70 when they are grown... It is through the threat (explicit or implied) that those who are not strong males are kept in their place. And yes, my father is heartless.
  18. These are people he is harming.
  19. as opposed to women who are all sugar and spice No, women get a bit of the jerk put in them, too. if they are lucky, but dont worry there are always power tools and cats. <SNIP> Finding a man with a heart that works is damn near impossible. You really think that????? Wow... Yes.
  20. as opposed to women who are all sugar and spice No, women get a bit of the jerk put in them, too. if they are lucky, but dont worry there are always power tools and cats. Ah, another fallicy. Finding a man with a dick that works is not tough. Finding a man with a heart that works is damn near impossible.
  21. as opposed to women who are all sugar and spice No, women get a bit of the jerk put in them, too. FREUDIAN SLIP? No, that was on purpose. Take down the morning tent and join the party.
  22. yep thinker--ah yes the joys of free speech. or should i say speach? that doesn't make him right or his content any less abhorent. you are almost worse than the morons who openly condone he philosophy. by your tacit acceptance of that sort of behaviour, you do nothing but encourage more of it. you listen the show, thereby increasing his audience and thus increasing advertiser support. nothing furthers a trend like economic power. Exactly. Free speech is not tough to come by in our country. Its free thinkers that seem to be a rarity.
  23. Hang on, I'm in the kitchen giving birth to #13. I'll be there in a sec....

  25. You became a hero because another guy had his head in a beaver? Preposterous.
