Reason: It wants to be a hemi 'cuda when it grows up I'd drive this car with pride, that's for sure. (Or put another way, I'd "feel better about myself")

Psst Arch: the government organized our winning of WW II, our effort to wipe out diseases like Polio, and the building of the best highway system in the world. I don't think it is right to suggest that government can't do anything right and we shouldn't have to pay taxes to support such incompetence. Hitler's overstretched fighting force was losing the war anyway. We sped that up, but we are pretty arrogant for taking all the credit for "winning WW2". Our hwy was made to transport war equipment. That is sad. The autobahn was made for driving and I'd say is way better and more fun than any hwy I been on here. Plus, other countries don't need hwys like we do b/c they were smart enough to plan for public transit. And lastly, I'd bet the individual scientists and doctors probably feel like they had more to do with curing polio than the gov't; but I don't know anything about the history of this so I can't say. But I do know that the gov't will take 100% credit for something they only did half-assed.

Everyone knows that when the gov't really puts its focus on something, taxes get raised and nothing gets fixed. Anyway, I called my mechanic and asked about the tack weld. He said most all of the cc's are taken with a hacksaw (like someone posted here) and that it really doesn't do any good. I think I'll just get an alarm for my Toyota. I love that truck and don't want it circumsized. Such a bummer

when they take the stupid black bumpers off they don't look so bad.

Dude. I just broke my foot and am on painkillers. It totally looks like a vette. Maybe it won't tomorrow though...
-
funny how those kinda look like......vettes. or a really big opel

I suppose it will be easier to hide the pieces if you don't.

Big deal. I enjoyed the hell out of Washington's Column the first time I went to Yos and thought I was hot shit. Of course, over the following ten years I learned that I am just a run-o-the-mill climber like 90% of everyone I meet.
-
you own a vette don't you? my first troll and you fell for it i may be an idiot but i don't need to own this hung of junk to feel good about myself. What you need is counselling. If anyone really believes that owning anything could possibly make them feel better about themselves then they are sick. And you, my boy, are sadly ill. Has it occurred to you that people enjoy owning toys so they can play? Yup, I have a Vette. I love it-especially on the track. And before it, I loved my motorcycles. Loved racing those babies. Feel better about myself? I don't know what the fuck you mean. Enjoy life to its fullest? HELL YES!!!

Oh come on... that split window is an abomination... and that pointy snout with the popup headlights isn't doing it any favors. I'd take this 'vette in a heartbeat, however... in the classic red/white color scheme preferably: Any vette designed by Harley Earl is a classic, no matter what color it is. Beautiful.

You make yourself sound like a huge gaping asshole when you make assumptions like this. You have no idea of my climbing history and ability, so shut your fucking piehole.
-
No, the c5 generation was a little dated looking. But no vette is ugly. They are the sexiest car any American company ever produced.
-
Well then you have proven that you are a fucking idiot because that is what it is.
-
So are you bitching 'cause it chugs gas or 'cause it is ugly? Check some of the hypermiling forums -- one guy claims he's getting 38 mpg out of his Corvette -- so it isn't the car, it's how you drive it. Oh, also, if you really want an ugly 'vette: This is a fucking gorgeous car! It is a 63, the only year Chevy made a split window. And this is the classic color, Chevy Orange. I would love to own this car!

The current Corvette retains its relatively high fuel economy, in part by upshifting to higher gears as soon as possible and in part by its relatively low drag coefficient. Equipped with an automatic transmission, the Corvette achieves 18/26 mpg (city/highway), and the manual transmission is slightly better at 18/28. However, some prospective Corvette buyers are surprised to find that the Corvette's manual transmission is fitted with Computer Aided Gear Shifting (CAGS), obligating the driver to shift from 1st directly to 4th when operating at lower RPMs. While this boosts the EPA's derived fuel economy, thus allowing the buyer to avoid paying the "gas guzzler" tax, it is an open secret that more than a few sixth-generation Corvette owners with manual transmissions simply have a $20 aftermarket part (CAGS eliminator) fitted to their vehicle to re-enable a normal 1-2-3-4-5-6 sequence at any RPM.

Did you even look up the gas milage on the C6?

This is going to be fun afterall! I just bought a Pente game at a yardsale. I'll bring it and we'll play if you want. It's sorta fun. And geeky.

Congrats on walking your 12K!!!! So glad to hear that you are coming back to the land of the living! Ok, I'll come up for a day. But I am bringing my damn needlepoint and acting like a girl.

I'm deteriorating right before my very eyes! I just chipped a bone a wee bit. So that's actually good because I can't do more damage, just cause myself pain. Maybe I can just come up and stomp around in the snow with my goofy weiner dog and watch people have fun. I'm not getting rid of my winter coat this year though, so I plan on having lots of chubby chasers after me. PARTAY!
