Those damn "greens". See, that's the problem w/ America, it's those "greens". They caused the mortgage crisis, and now they're fucking w/ Paradise. As for me, I like my "greens" lightly cooked so that they still taste good but digest well. I also like a little balsamic vinegar and salt on them. Yumm! This isn't spray, but it is fun.

You're entitled to an opinion. I just don't think it's very balanced or informed. And I am entitled to poke fun at your self-serving drama and dialogue. This is cc.com right? Won't everyone find their own opinions anyway? BTW, you're comparing apples to oranges when using the mtn loop hwy and other USFS roads as comparison to an ongoing construction site at Paradise where they are building new visitor services. And you DO sound new to scene (though 1992 isn't bad). Check out the historic photos. It's clear they've had parking problems for 50 plus years (on busy weekends). So, did you get a parking spot for your trip? Or are you just advocating for all those others who didn't? And who are those people anyway? I want names and third party observers!

Sorry, I meant Louis Farrakhan. It's all your consipiracy talk ya silly goose! Gas prices are higher too, so do you think that's a conspiracy to make people use public transit more? Spending 37 million (that's what I heard they spent on the Paradise contract) on public buildings at Paradise, whether you agree w/ the final design or not, is not part of some grand plan or conspiracy to deny visitors use and access. Maybe you're new to scene, but the parking has always sucked at Paradise (when it's busy on weekends) ever since they started allowing cars AND didn't allow them to drive all over the meadow.

You guys sound like the climber version of Rev'd Wright.

I agree, I never lived in LA, found it on accident and have stayed tuned ever since. It's a fantastic station with great degree of variety and DJ's... That fact it plays "NPR news" matters little. "Chocolate City" is one of my favorite programs, but many of the other shows are really excellent. IMO!

gotta save this one. The south REALLY sucks ass big time. Balls, Nope, just racists, classists, and way too fucking hot and humid. As for Colorado and UT, they are good for stopping the "east infestion". And the Midwest, well you know why they call it the heartland, b/c it's got no brain (George Carlin.) The Canadian dollar is doing well! Go Looney...

Porter, dealing w/ Seattle women gives me a bigger splitting headache. And as for the drivers... I'm with Ivan and Rad, however, sometimes you get stuck behind the fuck-wad uptight Seattlelite piece of shit mo-fo that's indicates a "free right" turn, but instead blocks both the straight ahead lane AND the right turn lane (at a light) and then doesn't take the free right! Move your subi/pee-us/volve you beotch Nodder! PS, I do great take some joy in seeing the sonics being taken to OK! It's so fitting! Fuck Schultz... PSS, I think I'm angry tonight? OMG!

And is there something wrong here?

now's a link worth keeping. thanks porter. you're not a nodder.

OMG... dare we say? The N....R?

It's out tomorrow... The reviews are fantastic too ... 60 plus hours of X-Box 360 crack pipe await... Thankfully it's raining this week, so I won't feel "too" guilty.
-
Don't attempt a speed ascent unless you're interested in being harrassed by the authorities. If you do, make sure you maintain an "online identity" of third party timers to back up your claims. Also, you should always keep your eyes peeled for "The Nodder." OMG!

North Side of Everest Closed for Spring 08 Season
faster_than_you replied to Layback's topic in Access Issues
I heard this rumor from the media that there is a concerted effort amongst climbers (if there is such a thing) to summit other prominent peaks around the globe on May 10th with "Free Tibet" flags, etc, in protest of the Chinese ban on Everest? Anyone heard much about this?? -
Tent (North F) Bag & downpants (Feathered Friends)
faster_than_you replied to faster_than_you's topic in The Yard Sale
The bag sold rather quickly last week, but the tent and downpants are still available. -
North Face, Mountain 25 tent Brand new, never used: $250 Feathered Friends Hummingbird Sleeping Bag Regular Length, 800+ Down-fill + 2 Ounces of Over-fill for extra loft. In great shape: $150. Feather Friends Volant Down pants XL Barely used: $120 Down pants ("Sunriver?") XL; very similar to the FF down pants listed above but used some. Still in excellent shape: $75. The tent and pants are GREAT for winter mountaineering or for expeditions to Denali and Aconcagua. The sleeping bag is perfect for light fast ascents that include a bivy. Perfect for summer trips in CA, OR and WA. I have even stretched its 3 season rating and pulled off a winter Rainier ascent. The equipement is well cared for, I just haven't been using it. PM me for details, questions, etc.

I'll pitch a third vote for Tup Tim Thai. "The Ave" seems have a few other good ones. In particular, there is a small vegatarian Thai restaurant between 45th and 47th on the west side of the street. Good stuff. I can't recall which one is "Thai Tom," but if it's just up the street from the Vegatarian one I just mentioned (45th-47th), I'd say its food is just OK. Hot, fast, etc... But it seems to be all the same in taste, and they don't make fresh spring rolls. They are cashing in on its hipness more than the food quality. IMO.

So whatever happened to Divot? -
and fumaroles. fall into one of those, and you'll cook or suffocate All of this great advice is likely to deny CC.COM another Mt. Hood forum to debate... And hey, that sheriff might get bored.

I might add, provide PMR with a pre-written press release too.

For our entertainment and discussion, you would do us all a favor if you had the media and sheriff department numbers pre-programmed on your cell (with extra batteries) so that we can follow your every step.
