    Bad News In Iraq

Sad news indeed, but what would you do about a bunch of maniacs hell-bent on destroying their country's reconstruction efforts? Blame Bush for suicide bombers??? You may not like the fact that we are there, but we are and if we do persevere, I predict that things will ultimately be a lot better in that region. (and some of these violent clowns are indeed presently "unknown"). It is a difficult call, indeed. It seems that things have gotten progressively worse, and I am concerned that "perseverance" will only add fuel to the anti-US fire, exacerbating things. I am further concerned that Bush is the one in charge of this decision-making process. I agree that the violent anti-reconstructionists cause further exacerbation to the renewal process

    Spread the word

Just happy that me, trask and WJC are all in the same boat! Hurry someone, anyone sink the damn boat. The only reason Ronald Reagan could articulate the Republican agenda was cause he was an actor. I guess you'll have to wait until Arnold is ready to run for president. I still can't get over the fact that a puppet was elected president. Arnold can't run for president - he was born in a foreign land.

    Holy Shit!!!

I just found some climbing quote from my real father, whom I haven't seen since I was six years old !!!! "When I first hit Yosemite in 1957, I was a mountain trooper from Colorado, as straight as a lodgepole sapling and celibate to boot. Fortunately, two derelicts then in garbage-can residence soon put me straighter with vicious amounts of Red Mountain wine. When not busy laying the groundwork for the Golden Age (that's about all they were laying), it seemed to my neophyte eye they stayed drunk. Why not ? Even many years later women were unknown to that distant world... The only thing down at Camp 4 in the Elder Days was dog shit and Tri-Delts surrounded by their betrailered parents, about as accessible as the Crab Nebula. So we had beatoff contests at the bivouac ledges, drenched our sleeping bags in semen, got drunk and indulged in towering fireside smut." — Mike Borghoff. "It's so good and wonderful and so other-earth-other-sky transcendentally different in Yosemite that I could spend a dozen karmic cycles there and not exhaust the place." — Mike Borghoff. What a blast from the past
  24. By that logic, any success story of Washington may have contributed to the decline by attracting people and the upscaling of a (once) down-to-earth city: Amazon, Boeing, UPS, UW Hospital, Fred Hutchinson, and many others. Born and raised here, Seattle lost it's small-town feel (and attraction as a place to live)to me sometime in the early-to-mid 90's. That coming after 25 years of living there.
