  3. which is "better" or more versatile and safe...mozilla or Firefox?
  4. Everything I ever learned about "the world as we know it" was written in books by Edward Abbey and Carlos Casteneda. Too much talk, not enough thought.
  5. Dean Potter is awesome but he did ever go above 8000 meters? I am gonna drop in a vote for: Greg Child, hes a 8000m (K2) included, sport climbing, trad, big wall, thrasher extrordinaire. Granted there are alot of HOT new multipurpose hardpersons but he was hard/multitalented before alot of folks. Plus he climbed the second ascent of my UBER obscure glue up: Housewives on acid 5.11c at Kanasket
  6. Going thru early mid life...found some deals on some old faves at Amazon. Charlie Daniels : Full Moon Hank Williams Jr.: New South, Whisky Bent and Hell Bound Talking Heads: Speaking in Tongues The Allman Brothers: Eat a Peach
  7. Geographic What is the only mountain range in the US that stretches West to East? (or East to West)

    Old SMC Camalots

Ahh SMC Camlocks, had me scratching my head. IMHO SMC camlocks tend to be unstable and funky to place. They work OK but you are better off with Tricams for stability and versatility. BUT since you own the camlocks, practice with them a bit, do some faux aiding ( place em and stand on them....jump test em) to see exactly how they work. They fell into obscurity for a reason but every person has a skill, mebbe yours is placing bomber Camlocks! If you decide you don't like them, I heartily recommend selling them on EBay...put the words "RARE" "COLLECTABLE" "CHOUINARD" in the header and you will be guaranteed to make a profit!
  9. Got baskets in mail, 2 days later...fit to a tee. looks like they are supporting older products just fine. Nice job BD

    Wow, I'm global

I would love to read the whole thing, alas the right click "transrate" option only makes it worse. And it really depends on how attractive the mime is, I am definitely "mime-curious"

    Wow, I'm global

I just did a search for a friend of mine and lo and behold I found a picture I took of him ( Jason butts, on Running man) in a Russian climbing page( kudos they kept the photo credits). Odd but cool. I have no clue what it says but its kinda fun non the less. I tried the US translate option but it lost the page web page
  13. Now that you phrase it that way it makes more applicable sense!
  14. Unreal? Have you played any MMORPG's recently? Pfft thats merely toothpaste on the monitor.
  15. Yep, they actually said their current parts come close to fitting and to give those a try. They looked mighty big but I will head down to the shop today!
  16. Does anyone know where or IF I can get the small trekking baskets for my "old" BD trekking poles. I bought them in like 1992 and they have a fixed tip with slide on baskets. See the pics Sure I could cut the old ones down or mebbe there is a similar design out there? All the newer ones have replaceable tips and larger basket sleeves. Thanks for any input in advance!
  17. If style could be a food then this is "french free".
  18. sweet! Grats on being able to savor some zion! I miss that place
  19. Specialed, where did ya climb in Zion? Did you get up to Kolob to do any of the short free climbs up south fork?
  20. Thanks IG and hamster! Tacoma screw actually directed me towards West Marine. Thanks for the tips! Be safe! -dave
