I have an old Etrex Summit and my wife has a GPSMAP 60CS. We use em for Geocaching and amazingly my old school summit does really well even with the patch antenna. Hers has a quad helix and waas capability, a definite plus in heavily forested areas...like the cascades. Really digging the geocaching as a fun little techy side hobby and a great way to dial in GPS units ability under a variety of situations. Geocaching TBFHoMFV (work safe)

I climbed there in the early to mid 80's. Several old aid lines existed and we put in several short toproped routes and one lead line up near the left shoulder (right of prominent mossy chimney). Also on the bottom right toe of the formation we put up a cool as hell 5.10 flared chimney, "Binkleys closet of Anxieties". Other than what I did, there was a bit of route activity in the late 80's near the aforementioned left shoulder area with several harder bolted routes going in. There is route info in the original Little Si guild book. 'circa late 80's

During my vegan phase in the mid '80s I tried to grind up a cup full of dry garbanzo beans in a glass blender. Needless to say the instant I turned the blender on, the hard beans shattered the glass sending shards and partially ground garbanzo shrapnel in every direction. I barely got out with my life.

This is the most annoying feature of any gym. Granted I understand they need to make the bottom line, but talk about jacking the ambiance.

There is a thread on this floating around...but the best Idea I gleaned from it was to use flat dental floss woven in around the sheath at the center mark. Use a fine needle. This will provide tactile and visual center point marking. Try to avoid using harsh chemicals on or around ropes. Good luck!

I was perusing RC.com (I apologize in advance and dont h8 as I know its a full on gaperfest there BUT...) they mentioned something about Jeff Lowes disability. Have I been in a cave or missed something? What happened to him? I met him in '92 in Kolob of all places and he seemed pretty ok.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a local hilti supplier that would carry Hilti HIT C-100 adhesive and the assorted accessories? Even a decent online link would be cool. I heard USHBA sold glue in stuff but I can find a detailed list anywhere on their site, so I am gonna go local if I can. Having some really nasty issues on some very soft local sandstone so I am looking to resort to glue ins. Thanks for any info in advance. I am in Tacoma, BTW
