the weather sucks. every time we get fresh snow its in such epic amounts that avy danger gets ridiculous. and there's not a whisper of dry rock on the horizon. i'm sick of snow. i only ski to pass time during this time of year and i'm not even doing much of that this year. blech. i need to move

the point is that there are plenty of women who climb all styles. name recognition might be low but they're out there climbing. just cuz some 20 year old thang doesn't know who they are doesn't mean that they aren't out there. this is a gal who clearly got some idea in her head, didn't bother to do the research, spouted off with some public comments and now seems like a twit to me. she's probably a nice person with some interesting ambitions but her attitude/approach to the topic makes me want to say "troll" (which i have done) or "STFU you snivelling little twit"

CBS - that is sound advice. it would be horrible not to have the best medical care possible for your wife b/c the cobra runs out. has your wife expressed an opinion on the subject??? what would your new employers schedule flexbility be? i work with some folks who are working away from their spouses and will be for the foreseeable future. they've all made arrangements to either leave early on fridays or come in late on mondays. long distance things can work well in some situations. i like sherri's view that this is a win-win. either decision will have some good things. i'm sorry you're faced with such a tough choice though.

trouble is at that age they steal the car keys and put them in the VCR or some other place you'll never find them, leaving you trapped at home, panicked, and swearing. pretty much what i think its going to be like when my son starts driving.

I wouldn't go that far. I think some people work on there marraiages, and I think it greatly increases the chances of having a good one. It sounds like whats-her-bucket has always been about the initial thrill but isn't very good at the maintenance part. i definitely agree with you there. i'm just wondering about the rest of their relationship. OK the sex is lousy but maybe the rest is fantastic? seems like it'd be worth working on the sex? or maybe the rest of the relationship is bad and no amount of work would help? i know couples who have a good relationship but lousy sex lives, people with lousy relationships and lousy sex, and couples who have great sex and a bad relationship. i know a few couples with great relationships and great sex. mind you all this info is based on hear say from one side. they're all still couples. who knows what makes people stay together.
