That's cool SpecialEd. The truth is though that Scotland can be so shite sometimes a la Trainspotting that I can't blame your ancestor for moving to Canada. Also, most of the women are dogs after the vikings came and took our good looking ones back to Sweden with them. Btw, I have loads more crazy stories than the ones I shared. Ha!

I still play a lot of soccer around here. I have literally puked up on the field on more than 1 occasion. Not proud of it, but what's one to do when one's in an establishment full of beer the night before? I used to play hockey back home. Had a mate who drank so much vodka the night before, he had double vision. During the warm up, he took a slapshot, missed the puck and smacked himself in the face with his stick. Burst his nose. This was the same guy who once got smacked with a skateboard from some dude before a soccer game for wearing the *wrong* color of scarf. Good stuff. Scotland !!!

I think you mean he was too busy kicking the heads in of some dudes who were stickering his SUV! Funny stuff RobBob.

I once met a bird in Hattie's Hat. On the way back to the house I was sharing with my mates in Magnolia (we were walking), I shagged her in the bushes behind Bank of America in Fishermans Terminal. Ha ha ha! Funny shit. The lengths we horny young men go to empty our sacks knows no bounds. No avatars from me. I don't care who knows that stuff. Oh, the best part of this was about a year later in the George & Dragon, I noticed her...she was with her husband!!! I had no idea she was married. beat a hasty retreat from there being that I was in a pub full of Englishmen, and I was the only Scot there.

Saw it last weekend. Interesting that you bring it up. It was for sure a thought provoking film. I'm not sure now what thoughts it provokes, but at the time I thought "Whoa! That kinda makes you think!" Seriously though, for some reson it made me think of the Celestine Prophecy and how there's this sum of cosmic energy that each of us can use and pass on. There are consequences of each and every action and it's up to us to try to direct that energy in a positive fashion I suppose.

Longest dry spell since I was 17 was never more than a couple of months. Not too shabby. I once got so horny though, I was in Pat O'Briens in New Orleans. Met a bird, was shagging at her hotel within 15 minutes. One quick shag later, I was back at Pat O'Briens finishing off my Hurricane with my mates. Good stuff.

Ah, good old Irn Bru. Actually, there's a shop in Redmond called the British Pantry that sells it. Also, the Scottish Tea Shop near Madison Park sells a lot of that sutff too. So funny. Thanks for reminding me of that dude. I also remember drinking Tizer when I was a boy. That was basically the red equivalent of Irn Bru. You could feel your teeth disintegrate with each sip. They even made little chewy candies as if the soda wasn't enough. "Barrs Irn Bru. Made in Scotland from Girders." Great ads.

Does June's edition of Playboy that arrived on Monday count? Nah, dude, I have a 22 year old horny Euro girlfriend that keeps me occupied. I wasn't bragging, just killing time till I get off work.

Picking on me. Fucking bastaaaards! How right they are though. Shit the truth hurts. So does sticking your wood into dry holes. So I've been told.

Dos Equis amber works for me dude. That's about as light as I go cos the Coors and all that stuff is just pish...and not even remotely palatable pish at that as if there is such a thing.

No, it's totally doable in June and the summer months. In fact, that's when most folks do it. I just think that most folks on the board here would agree that it's a more enjoyable climb in the Spring months and even in the Winter (at least from the South side starting at Timberline Lodge).

Couple of reasons for early season: 1. Avoid the huge crowds (especially so on weekends) 2. The bergshrund is filled in I think the 'shrund is now exposed but can be negotiated fairly easily by walking around to the left of it.

Funny dude. Yeah, my 4x4 can also cross ocean floors too as well as get me past 7 ft of snow no problem...just like in the ads. As for sheep....they are more than mere transportation my friend. We do indeed ride them, but in a different sort of way

I heard the same thing too dude...there's a new version coming out supposedly this year. I still went ahead and bought the old one though.

Forget it. I checked the forestry site and the road to Cold Creek is still closed. Not expected to be open until late June. There's 7ft of snow at Cold Creek. Anybody got any better ideas?

Going to be in the Baksan Valley from August 4th for around 10 days. Intend to climb Elbrus. Partners have bailed, and it's just me and my girlfriend now. Anybody interested? So far, we've spent $300 for visa processing / flight from Moscow - Min. Vody / rooms / airport shuttle through Pilgrim Tours and $750 on ticket to Europe. I expect the whole trip to cost no more than $1600. PM me if interested.

Me and my girlfriend are heading up Adams on 5/17 (assuming the weather is decent). Anybody wanna join us? Will most likely car camp Friday night, and do it in a day. Could be talked into 2 days though. PM me if interested.

Anybody wanna head out to Vertical World (Seattle) around 6pm tonight?

Want to help a climber from France around Seattle?
JGowans replied to obsydian's topic in Climbing Partners
Brian, I just emailed him. I should be able to hook him up. Just hope he's a cool dude and doesn't walk around everywhere in pink spandex shorts. Maybe he's the French Spiderman dude that climbs buildings. The Space Needle could be his next target? -
Alex, have you been up yet? I was thinking of heading up there 5/17 if the weather's decent...

I noticed that too. I may check it out. Hey, is the bivy still for sale?
