All I can say is there is no way I can go about in bare feet. Period. You and Dru are blessed if you have feet that tolerate that.
-
Our feet evolved for walking over surfaces that yield, like, dirt, turf and sand. Hard surfaces are the bane of bare feet.

I thought we were talking about plantar fasciitis. I guess Muffy has a couple of issues going on, right? the PF plus the broken bone? Speaking for myself, if I walk around on hard surfaces in bare feet, my heel pain will be horrible the next morning. I put insoles in my slippers.

I saw an article in today's PI that the Mountain Loop Hwy probably won't open for yet another year (it's been closed for 3 years), because of additional damage from the storm in November. They can only work on it in the month of August because of Salmon spawning. -
Don't go barefoot, ever, if you want to get better! The reason climbing is bad for your feet is that rock shoes are essentially the same thing as standing around in bare feet. I've found that if I climb at Stone Gardens where the ground is covered with pea gravel, it doesn't bother my feet nearly as bad as standing on a hard surface. Muffy, is there a gym you can go to that has gravel?

My time of day is the dark time A couple of deals before dawn When the street belongs to the cop And the janitor with the mop And the grocery clerks are all gone. When the smell of the rainwashed pavement Comes up clean, and fresh, and cold And the streetlamp light Fills the gutter with gold That's my time of day My time of day And you're the only doll I've ever wanted to share it with me.

With persistence you will some day steal the prize.

I'm ashamed to admit that I sandbagged Fred into doing a 5.9+. I didn't mean to do it. It was supposed to be a 5.6, but I read the guide book wrong. I knew from the start that it was harder than 5.6, but, I don't know, I thought I was having a bad day or something. Turned out the route was Kick Start, which Dave Whitelaw calls one of the dirtiest routes he's ever climbed. Anyway, Fred was a good sport about it, even though he thought the route was awful, which it was- dirty as hell. How can anyone bolt a route and not bother to clean it properly? Wait, don't answer that.

Ditto on that sediment. Freudian slip? Double entendre? You decide.

I'm surprised Raindawg hasn't chimed in to ask why everyone is getting their panties in a bunch over a sport route.

Dude I couldn't even find the on button to the computer, let alone post spray, before I've had my coffee in the morning.

Becuase they also beleived there was threat. None of our allies would do anything because everyone of them was in Bed with Iraq via Oil for food program or selling arms to them. There motive were econimically motivated. Hell the world thought he was building a bomb, check the resolutions. So don't give me this bunch a bullshit that the wool was pulled over everyone in the worlds eyes. Those are Dem fog glasses. Pfft we were making plent of money off of Iraq too, I think. Some segments of our country continue to make even more money off of Iraq, while the government continues to hemorrage money.

Carter was the victim of Paul Volker and the Federal Reserve and that's about all you can say.

What's your theory Seahawks? Why did all those Democrats back the president?
-
Which is why guys like Michael Bloomberg are seriously thinking of an independent presidential bid. I'd say disatisfaction with both parties is higher now than it was when Ross Perot give it a go.

They were all afraid for their political lives. To many in Congress, to vote "no" was thought to be suicide. The public was in panic as a result of 9/11. They figured it was safer to vote yes and deal with the consequences later. It doesn't matter what Congress knew, it matters what the public knew and at that time, the public thought Iraq was a threat.
-
Duh, that resolution was based on the flawed information that Bush gave to congress. Had that information been factual, the vote would have been different.

EgoBoy, answer the man! Were holds destroyed, or is this just careless talk? You said: "Yes Kevin what I did was selfish and I do deserve some flack for it and I expected it. But isn’t keeping something very public private? You know what I think is more selfish? Taking the bolts out of TWO lines and DESTROYING THE HOLDS!! I am sorry, but the whole “I don’t like the way you play so I’m going to take my ball home” attitude is weak. I’d love to hear you defend your friends position."

People elected him because they thought he seemed like a good guy. Problem is being a good guy doesn't always make for a good president. Heck, I think he'd make a fine neighbor, the sort of guy you'd invite over for a barbecue. But I wouldn't put him in charge of the neighborhood association, let alone the country.

Seems like whenever conflict happens there is at least some blame on either side. In this case some stubborness on the one hand a some hubris on the other.
-
People are so ignorant that all of government gets tarred with the same brush.
