  1. The Mountaineers have a Basic route on it they call the Southwest Corner featuring one pitch of 5.5.
  2. There's some good stuff for kids at Murrin Park, I should think.
  3. For its grade, Saber is intimidating. A lot of new leaders bail off of it. Yes it's only 5.4 or whatever, but judging from the bootie you get off of it, the proof is there.
  4. Harry, you never quite got over seeing Bambi's mother killed when you were a little tyke. I know, it hurts. Let's take this to Cafe Sensitivioso.
  5. With the time he saves not posting on cc.com, he could actually have a productive job AND go climbing.
  6. Just so you all know, the "official" Exit 38 watering hole is the North Bend Bar and Grill.
  7. ChrisT? I thought she lived near Portland?
  8. Brad, I'm sure you learned a lot from your experience. First of all Harry is going to give you shit no matter what you do. That's a given. It really refreshing to hear about good people like Harlin.
  9. I've moved it up to 4:00 pm, but there will be several others at 4:30 pm so take your pick.
  10. Issaquah Park and Ride at 4:30 pm Wednesday, or 5 pm at the Far Side parking lot.
  11. It's Wednesday for me this week. Weather forecast has it cooling off on Thursday and I need to pack that night for a weekend trip.
  12. This was NOT obvious the first time we went up there, but we figured it out. It is right before an impassible waterfall. There is this knarled cedar on the left with branches that bend down just like a ladder.
  13. If someone breaks the law by leaking information that exposes illegal government activities, I say they should be protected.
  14. We made this same mistake, Toast and I, the first time. We went up the third wash actually, now that I think about it. We finally figured out it was the wrong one, went back down, found the right one (with Matt's hubcap), went up and climbed the Blueberry route even with a late start.
  15. I've been up the Granite Sidewalk half a dozen times as early as March and have never had as much trouble as you folks did. You'll get it next time.
  16. Right on! Good work. You didn't ask me if I wanted to do Liberty Ridge.
  17. I didn't say that, dipshit. Don't put words in my mouth.

    Barracuda

I had a 1969 Mercury Cougar back then. I don't miss it in the least.
  19. I thought most people wait until there is actually ice on the route. This time of year it will be a simple snow slog.
  20. I met an old timer there once who told me a story about how he got in trouble as a kid aid climbing across the dining room ceiling by way of the large timber beam.
  21. Mais oui! It was the first time I'd led that one. I got to go up it a second time on top rope too! Jim led I Remember Drooling, 5.10b. That one has a burly start that you can do a cool heel-hook on. He led it without the heel-hook and complained about how hard it was. After he saw me hook it he had to go back up just to try it that way.
  22. What's with you and Mormons? Have you been jilted by one?
  23. Last night we didn't have much choice because of the rain. We went to Amazonia Wall and did a bunch of 5.10s. There is one 5.9 there and that was all that some of the people could manage to climb.
