I've been told recently by a friend that icicle road has the gate across it at eightmile. Is this true? Can you get around it in a 4x4? How far are people able to drive up the road to the colchuck trailhead? Looking to go on thurs, fri.

Everyone makes a softshell of some sort. Mammut will have the Laser out in fall. It is wb400 with a hood. It is the only welded one on the market. It will cost slightly less than a Gamma MX Hoody. Mammut will also be releasing the Cerro Torre which is wb 400 with powerstretch sides and underarms.

I don't know what Sportiva calls them but, usually wear an 11.5 in most everything.

One pair of La Sportiva Trango Plus size 45.5 that are well used but, they have a lot left in them. Make me an offer, they will go for cheap. Also, One pair of La Sportiva Karakoram's 45.5. Yes, used but they have a lot of time left on them as well. Same terms as above. Maybe meet for a climb to do the swap.

Something to consider. I have used many of the packs that everyone has been talking up. I currently have a Mammut Extreme 45. It's da bomb. You can look at it at www.climbhigh.com Second bounce may be carrying them also. I can't remember.

Unlike many products in the climbing world these new Grivel leashes didn't just go straight from the drawing boards to the production line. El Presidente of Grivel NA himself designed them and has been using them for the last 3 or 4 years. I have seen them in action. I would say that they are even easier to use than the old BD Twists yet far more secure on Vert.

Word up tbrent. You don't have to be a weekend employee for NASA to figure out if a leash design is going to work or not. Maybe just a little ice experience would help. Key points being ease of application and removal without body parts assisting, ie mouth. No unexpected detachment from climber,Like unclipping or loosening. The new grivel leash kicks @##.

I have owned the anasazi mocasym, anasazi velcro, and the anasazi lace. The mocasym will stretch one half size but it has a leather upper. With the velcro and lace you would be fortunate to experience a quarter size of stretch. I would size the velcro one half size smaller than the lace. These are not comfortable shoes but they do perform well. As per comparing them to sportiva miura's and mythos....5.10's performance shoes have a completely different fit. They pull all of your toes towards the inside edge, "asym toe design". For me I sized down 2.5 for velcro and 2 for lace.

The complete ridge would be nice due to lots of easy 5th terrain and a nice approach option from leavenworth. I must say that I am not horribly attached to the idea....I just want to go. Don't necessarily have to do the NR either. Could be something else maybe. Oh yeah, North Idaho, Not the sawtooths.
