Pandora/Girlclimber, ya know we've got *other* mountains here in washington right?
-
Damn, any chance you would do friday night? Looks like I've got something set up for sunday-Monday... I'm guessing you are doing saturday cause of the weather, eh? Umm...PM me I guess
-
holy crap you have a lot of pics!
-
Technical choss ascensionist. Also, random - thought...supposedly he trains all the time on hood, yeah? And we get ho many people on this board climbing hood, not to mention the other volcanoes, weekly? A lot, eh? I wonder what the chances would be that not one person from around here has seen the shitbag up there yet.

Dude, do you realize how easy it is find those boots cheap? They are a several generation old boot at this point. Sure, they are great quality, but there are a lot of better things that have come out since. If you can find a sucker to pay you $200, more power to ya.
-
What year were those pics taken? It's possible with 2 fairly lousy snow years in a row stuff could get broken more and quicker.
-
Sun and mon look reasonable weather wise, sat borderline. Anybody interested in alpine?
-
How bizzare, I was looking for info on the same thing just last night. I haven't found anything either so I would be intersted too!
-
Ouch, thats sad. When I did the sulfide in may a couple of years ago it was an hour or more walk. Easy access is nice, but it reminds me just how poor the snowpack really is.
-
Wait...I thought the Wild Sky wildernes was the new one proposed for a chunck of the skykomish river, right? There are grizzly bears there!?!?
-
Wow, are you kidding? My schoeller pants have so many holes in them...crampons, rocks, you name it. I just leave them. When I got about 15 I had my mom sew them all up at once
-
Lots of hardcore climb...err..students...at school. fleece is needed for the ever changing and deadly seattle weather.
-
I know, I was sad to see that. What are they replacing it with? The khamsins were the best packs I found that combined a reasonable suspension with featuers and light weight. The 38 weighs something like 2 1/2 lbs, has a suspension and still has a bungee, daisy chain, ski slots, etc.

No, all the info was good, you were right, that's all I wanted to know. Like I said, I reached my conclusion...this thing is worthless in the cascades. I very rately treat water as it is, and if I do, I either boil or use iodine. It was just how it did it that interested me. But I am glad to know that marylou has scored herself a worthless $130 nerd-toy water purifier that she can talk about.

You could always camp the few hundred feet below hazard at the bivy spots taht are more safe. The higher up it is, the more scenic, that is a big plus. I spent an awesome open air night a few hundred feet below camp hazard a few summers ago. Unfortunately a few weeks later I woke up with food poisining and that pretty much ruined that trip

I thouhht arcteryx was alberta based? I realli like my arcteryx khamsin 38 FWIW. It seems I now use that thing for everything.
-
You'd rather listen to Beck? Who only uses CC.com to boost himself in the world I think I'd rather listen to somebody who actually climbs Then again, it seems those of us who climb would rather be out climbing then writing reciews to score new gear to talk and brag about.
-
I still want to know how marylou has any authority to test gear or get free shit. somebody tell me.
-
http://www.msrcorp.com/filters/miox.asp Does anybody know how these things work? No, I have zero intention of paying $130 for a device that takes just as long as iodine, but I'm kind of interested in how it operates.
-
No, I simply meant they work with sewing machine just likes workers over here...it's not like they are stitching by hand. My point was that a sewing machine can be operated just as well by a sweat shop worker as a more highly paid worker in the U.S. Sewing is not a science. I think the crap about US made climbing appearal and packs being of better quality than Asian sweat shop made products is wrong. Now, granted, I am totally against sweat shops, which is why I said if your personal opinion says not to buy from them, than that is totally comendable.
-
I still maintain that "far east" produced goods are not inferior. The sweat shop issue, however, is one of personal choice. The fact is a machine can sew things perfectly well these days. I think it's prety hard to screw up.

OK, pictures time, like I have been promising for a while. These are not in order. http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4376&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4375&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4374&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4372&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4371&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4370&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4369&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4368&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4367&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4366&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4365&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4364&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=4363&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=500

Is there anyway to do this, or do we just have to go to the pain of uploading one by one?
