I thought there was no camping at Ingalls Lake as well. There are multiple routes up on Ingalls - SW ridge (scramble ish), S Face, E ridge (one 5.5 move w/ exposure) and a route up the east peak. See Beckey for details. I was up on Ingalls pass last Sunday and only saw one team of four heading up.

On snow, I use the 3/4 ultralight with a full length 5/8 closed cell foam pad. Less than 2 lbs for both. Good insulation underneath is important for keeping warm and you can go with a lighter bag. See promountainsports.com for details.
