Here's a note I got from my Dad, who lives North of Barcelona: We really aren't close to Madrid (although closer than you are). We are about 8-9 hours by car away. It is horrible and the people in across Spain are very upset. They have had quiet vigils in cities all across Spain. The people gather on the streets and stand quietly together, some with signs decrying the violence. Some paint their hands white and raise them above their heads facing out. That is a statement against terrorism.
