  1. First, take the entrails of your most intimately loved goat and scatter them in a fire in the shape of BC. Do a COUNTERCLOCKWISE jitterbug around them three times while singing Girls just wanna have fun and then toss all the BC pages from Red Fred into the air. If the topo for Slesse lands north of the fire you will have sun. Which is all about as accurate as this site: http://www.weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/forecast/canada/index_e.html?id=BC
  2. I'm glad you've finally mastered the art. Herewith are some early memories of the technique at an embryonic state. An early recon for the new discipline: Later, an attempt is fouled by the children's ice axe:
  3. Seems to have acquired some greenery in the interim . . .
  4. Dooood, don't know if you're supposed to be nailin' the U Wall
  5. Jesus, just make sure you've done Baker, St. Helens, AND Adams before going anywhere NEAR Rainier.

  7. Was that the one where they rode along with the Nam vet with all the equipment he bought himself amd he started chasing the unmarked border patrol car
  8. The red route on the features wall has been puttin some serious smack down. No way it's 11
  9. one move unwonder. The only gear 11 I've led
  10. Kinda too late or too early for an enjoyable ascent. The final face is steep enough to make it not fun for snowshoes. The route down into ring Creek is also apparently a real mess now. From bivouac: Lottsa isothermics lately. Squamish mainline blocked:

    BEND

Apparently there's a trailer park crisis in Bend right now If you moved there you could have alligator chimichangas at the Victorian Cafe for breakfast, but you'd be way to cool to post here
  12. Mike if you're really itching for something to do, how about updating the Complete Coast Mountains Guide. It's only 40 years out of date
  13. Tonnes of snow, good time to hit up Sampson from RR Pass or similar
  14. I think you should try to live out of your truck again cause you'd eventually kill someone and that'd be entertaining as hell

    FUNKY STANKY PACK

  17. Coffee table photo book wouldn't get off the ground. "Poets on the Peaks" and "Mountains of the Coast" I've both got for $10. The Select Guide would work I think, but you should take a different approach than Kearney or Nelson so you don't just do the same thing. I like your ideas of stories, as in the Indian Creek guide or 50 Favourites Some high quality overlooked classics specific to the northwest. Probably won't make any money on it but I'd read it on the shitter
  18. Cool It obviously looked easier to you to come in from the memorial than bashing straight up from the road? Was there any snow left on the route?
  19. Yeah, me too What is it with that road and flat tires
  20. And that is one of the infinite number of attractions to living in Chilliwack
  21. Maybe you should just get a fucking room.

    Da vinci

The man on the left (wearing a fabulous vintage chiffon-lined Dior gold lamé gown over a silk Vera Wang empire waist tulle cocktail dress, accessorized with a 3-foot beaded peaked House of Whoville hat, and the ruby slippers Judy Garland wore in the Wizard of Oz) is worried that "The Da Vinci Code" might make the Roman Catholic Church look foolish.
  23. Ya I know that, it's just that I've always wrestled with this myself in applying commitment grades to traverses I've done. Ie. Can you apply a committment grade to something you can walk off of at any number of spots . . . Anyway, this probably isn't the forum to dredge that up, it was just something I was thinking of lately
