Hey, Climbers for Christ had a free spaghetti feed at Smith last weekend. Don't tell me you all missed it?
-
Do not frighten the woodpecker, please.
-
Trask, shut up.
-
He got 167 on the IQ test; he can't help it!
-
Yeah, VB, please don't shoot the thing. Wrap your chimney. Easiest and cheapest.

I just KNEW Trask would be stepping into that one.

[/i][/b] It IS Native American, and they were here WAYYYYY before you were. And not ALL Native Americans used Peyote, the Sacred One; only southwest Natives who had access. I suppose it could be posited that indeed trade routes brought other tribes into contact with the Sacred One, but of this, none are too sure. Perhaps there is some literature out there. The Native American also did dances around fires at night. Ceremonial in nature, much symbolic form was used for the alliteration of ancient universal truths. These truths were imparted to both participants and spectators through the art of DANCE. Dancing is important. The Native Americans were also known for their beads and hair. Did you know there were also redneck Natives? And some were horse-thieves, especially in the areas that had lots of horses, or areas that didn't, since that would make horses more valuable a commodity, although all parts were used. So piss off, you damn gringos, cuz we're coming to get you.

What's "fraged", my dear illiterate friend? And about guts: I might be "fraged" if I had the stupidity to "serve".
-
We don't loathe spray, my friend, we just loathe you. Now go crawl into your bunker with your fifth.

"It's up to people to determine what is really said and is easy to do by listening to the Pentagon Briefings instead of the riddled with errors and ill translated media glossing over." Fine. By listening to what the Pentagon says might let us know what THEY say, but so what? You think that gives us any context or complete reality of the situation? (I'm sure you were just joking....) And I'm sure the administration is a good place for accurate info. Any more shipments of Uranium on their way to Iraq? I'm telling ya, the plan I exposed at the start of this thread is pure genius! Compassionate Conservatism at work! (Necro, sometimes you have to slaughter people to save them. Get with the program.)

US war plan: So they go in to Iraq, they get into a protracted war. This enrages the whole region, with virulent anti-americanism expressed by previously peaceful middle-easterners. Even the Shias in the south now hate us more than Saddam. Iranian Shiites are coming from Iran to help oust the Americans (all true and already happening). This fight against a common enemy will bring Saddam and the Shiites much closer together, actually creating a friendship. After the entire region joins this war and ousts the American invasion, Saddam will be so grateful for the Ethnic minority help that he'll form a representative democracy that'll give a voice to all! The Americans are geniuses! How could I have missed this for so long?!?!

Opinions:Static vs. Dynamic for top rope
sexual_chocolate replied to Billygoat's topic in The Gear Critic
I think the static rope can be a good idea if tr'ing is all you use it for. It's strong, safe, and lasts a long time. The knots: I think they would work a lot better if you put some sort of spikey things into them, like maybe even tent-spikes, or maybe something like sawed-off hammer heads? I think if you tied these in in a strategic manner, they could definitely slow you down. Or even heavy weights could slow you down. Tie on a couple of those old iron weights, maybe twenty-five pounders, every thirty feet. I think that would help slow you down in case of a fall? Good luck. -
I think it's pretty easy. I can ask a friend who lives in Squamish if you still need the info.

"...Don't quit your day job" is an appropriate response to what you agree is a "despicable smear campaign"? What exactly are you guys trying to run here? Maybe I don't understand the history of this on-going illness but, as anyone with any sense of decency walking in on it would be, I am disgusted by it. I'd ask yourself how callous you've become if you cannot curtail certain behaviour here. This is getting more than surreal. Now you are actually talking about Allison's sexual preferences in the context of caveman's barbarism? You've always struck me as such a level-headed fellow. I guess you've all relaxed your rules to keep the ratings up, huh? I thought I'd seen something about sexually charged content not being allowed. Hmmm.... Silly me for thinking there might be rules we agree to! See above. Sexually charged content is supposed to be off limits? The only "players" (as you call them) you're gonna have are the brainless creeps who are into the most base "humor" they can muster from their deprived childhood days. Have fun. What are you babbling about here? First you state a theory about the degradation of women (who are you agreeing with?), and somehow you end up comparing the degradation of women with calling caveman a drunken psycho. I see no similarities. Maybe you should read the forum rules about topics with a sexually explicit nature. I think "getting gang-banged in the basement of a church" might be covered. Again, maybe I'm wrong about my assumptions regarding this place. Maybe there is no code of conduct, even as the rules are supposed to create one. Maybe the creation of free-for-all mayhem is really what you guys want: Good for the ratings. But tell me: Who's gonna want to contribute to this place (financially or otherwise) when it's over-run by maybe five idiots who can only get off with sexist/racist digs? Good Luck!
-
So you been donating some cash, fool? Is that why you and caveman are tolerated? Hey, I hate to make the accusations, but something's fishy when two imbeciles flaunt all decency day after day, even getting possessive about the site. Talk about arrogant, you brainless buffoon. Take your moronic circus freakshow where it might be appreciated. Idaho's a good place to start.

jb's comment made me a little embarrassed about the timidity of my previous post. Thanks for calling it for what it is. So administrators, what's up with the double-standards? Why does someone so offensive as Caveman continue to post, when others have been 86'ed for less personal attacks? I'm quite confused by your deference to the fellow.... And if this is the direction you guys want this board to go, then.... If you cleaned out the sexist offensive shit, your rep would improve. I know a few people who won't even visit this place cuz of the crap of just a few posters.

Please tell us all about the Pilot, oh racist caricature. Please be "humorous" about it, with lots of predictable poor grammar. I'm sure you might be bright enough to come up with other characteristics that you haven't even thought of yet. Come on, it's a wide open field! Have fun! Continue to make a complete ass of yourself!

Muscle cars don't represent over 50% of the vehicles on the road, that's why. They also don't contribute to so many traffic fatalities either. Quite simple.

I'm not sure why you came in with this argument, but I'll answer it anyway. I think the idea of a democratic form of government was as alien to all parts of the world as it might now seem to the middle-east arab countries. (I personally think that Bush has no interest in seeing democratization happen, but this in itself won't keep it from happening.) Did I ever tell you about Iran? They democratically elected a leader in the fifties, but that leader's policies didn't jibe with the US administration's. So, enter a coup, with the Shah propped into place. Just a little aside that might help to further explain the absolute mockery that Bush's speeches are met with in the middle east. "They" don't like us much, for damn good reasons! When democracy threatened our interests, we quashed it! It's much easier to negotiate with a singular power-holder than with a representative government; one is much easier to buy off and control. I think this is the reason our administration would have no desire for a democratization of the middle east. We very well know what the people would put into power: a nationalist who would exploit all the previous aggressions of the west, which would entirely fuck us, due to our dependence on their natural resources. I really have to say that I can't understand this war. The more I look at it, the less it makes sense, unless I am to believe that it's COMPLETELY about the oil, baby. And I guess that's what it's really all about.

I know, but when a guy brings a woman's sexuality into play, in a fashion that might or might not suggest rape, I find it beyond contempt. There's too much history there, IMO. But, he is in third grade still, right? We try so hard to teach them....
-
Hey Allison, I tend to fully agree with your sentiments here: I honestly couldn't believe the total lack of integrity in captain caveman's post. And you know what's even worse? The men here who are coming to his defense, although it's a very limited number. I guess they just haven't understood. I suppose I was really lucky to have a mom that really helped me to figure out what it can be like to grow up as a woman in a patriarchal society where at one point rape was not even considered illegal. (It'd be nice if all people could see the harm that's been done to them, and the harm they perpetuate as a result.) Hope you're ok.

What's that, toptimmy? bad reception from Everett around here....

Trask, you simpleton. Have you never any idea what you speak of? No, no, of course not. I sincerely apologize for suggesting it might be otherwise. A beer for you. Enjoy.
