there already has been a drop in the poverty rate, dramatic increases in access to health care, education, food, water, etc etc. ie. an increase in the standard of living for those most in need of such an increase.
I hardly consider any of this as shocking. I think he clearly stated his intent to nationalize certain key industries, so there's no inconsistency with the above actions.
It seems to me that a reasonable response to the failure of a particular approach to bring any semblance of equity and justice to a given society is to change one's approach; through a democratic process, this is exactly what has happened in venezuela. only time will tell how it pans out.
Oh and did you notice that daniel ortega won (another) democratic election in nicaragua? i guess a decade and a half of neo-liberal economic policies didn't quite do what their proponents promised (now we'll see if a different approach changes conditions for those most in need of change).
No Dirty, you don't seem to understand: numbers mean nothing to him, to the point that he needs to let everyone know how little they mean to him, over and over.
Well-said. Seems a bit silly to be getting so self-righteous about a particular style of climbing. Like trad over sport, or alpine over bouldering or some silliness such as that( ).
But I hear BillA is off the hook with his pull-ups, after learning from the mythical Mr. Twight. How are they coming along, Bill?
what exactly are your symptoms? you say "foot", but then you talk about ankles. where is the problem?
if you have climbed for nine years just trad (heaven forbid), then i could see all that weird foot twisting that the traddies seem to be fond of causing some strange "traddie's ankle syndrome".
dude, get serious. if you're rock climbing, of course it'll strengthen your ankles! you're exercising them throughout their range of motion!
repetitive straight in crack climbing might lead to overly stretched ligaments though, just another reason to stick with sport climbing!
we can't even CALL it a "universe" without being bound by the system you now so rebel against.
Plus, within this unnamable (oops said too much), i am still proposing a question, admittedly within the human contextual construct (how could it be otherwise?), about a possible scenario regarding nuclear missiles; this is serious.
I have changed my mind and now choose kim il-jong to bomb me.
