I noticed this morning that we aren't flying the American flag like we did two years ago.
We have forgotten 911. We are too busy in our own little worlds and do not want to be distracted by this fight to the death that we are involved in. If you mock me and say fight to the death? A little dramatic aren't I? Not at all. Ask any militant Muslim if they think we are in fight to the death.
We are no longer Americans. We have gone back to being Irish-Americans, Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, etc.
We are divided on how to best handle the situation in the Middle East.
We no longer believe in the idea of compromise - the very same idea that our Constitution and our country was founded on. Meeting each other half way. Instead we entrench ourselves in our own beliefs thinking that everyone else is wrong.
I am greatly disheartened. I fear we are our own worst enemy.
