How's Barak's brother doin' these days? You know, the one in Kenya living on $1.00 per week. Strange BO hasn't spread some of his own wealth around.

This is an interesting thought, but I don't think it's true at all. The flu pandemic of 1918-1920 killed between 20 million and 50 million world-wide and had little effect on the political landscapes of any nations. In fact, it is one of the most under recorded events in human history. Unless you're talking about zombies or something, I don't think a pandemic would have any major effect on ongoing human events.

That's funny. You didn't seem the least bit upset about loathsome comments directed at Sara Palin by your compadres here: BTW: I guess Burner's in a little trouble today for lying about her academic credentials. She seems to have problems tellin' the truth.

Maybe he licks stamps for her campaign then spreads out the completed mailers on that hand-crafted coffee table?

Not surprising since you're one of the most repulsive personalities here.

NY Times - Mountain Climbing Bad for the Brain
Fairweather replied to Mike_Gauthier's topic in Climber's Board
So where do I fit in this mess??? the only good thing about voyager, the show where the chick captain got everybody lost maybe climbing's bad for the brain 'cuz it pisses our wives off, who in turn take to slowly poisoning us w/ lead n' arsenic in our food? When your wife asks who that was, just tell her it was seven of 9. -
I've thought about giving it another try, but me and teleturns just don't get along on the downhill end. I enslaved the heel long ago and have no intention of releasing it. I'd love to ski with you this winter though.

The most repulsive candidate in the voter's guide. Not even my district, but I feel an overwhelming urge to vomit whenever I hear her smarmy voice on television: "I'm Darcy Burner and I approved this methage."

Thanks guys! My old Silvretta's are exactly what I was thinking about putting on these inexpensive skis for trips like Suntop, etc. I'm not sure if a shop will be reluctant to mount them.

Um...Is this why you were on cc.com at 1:40 in the morning? Or is Mrs. TTK on another one of those "business trips"?

Besides the aforementioned gun ownership, the constitution of the United States guarantees none of these things you mention. You should read it.
-
It can be updated any time. It's called the amendment process. Do you consider the first amendment 'outdated' too? I mean, the writers could never have conceived the internet...or television or even radio! Hell, maybe Obama can manipulate the states and congress into the opening of a constitutional convention! Wouldn't that be just wonderful! People like you scare me. You must be part of that 50% TTK is talking about.

Vicepresidents, Roo. Try to stay on task.
-
Have you heard/read some of Biden's gaffes? Comparable. Just yesterday he assured us that terrorists would attack within 6 months and Obama's approval ratings would plummet. Very Vice-Presidential.

These ".alt" websites you're visiting are, I suspect, a big part of your problem. Try picking up a book that challenges your worldview from time to time. You seem a little too comfortable in Joblo-land.

Eventually, they'll end up in Belize farming with the Mennonites.

Harry Truman never went to college. Left office with dismal approval numbers. History has been kind to him.

...and by self-described "liberals" in every instance. that's just flat out wrong dude, please post a link to someone who is a liberal or dem and is using it in a derogatory fashion, not a "descriptive of repugs" fashion as Hugh was. I love the "repugs are racist" argument, it's such an easy win, and the current climate makes it even easier. WTF? What planet do you live on, asshole? Show me even one instance where any conservative on this site has used that word in any fashion. You can't. And what's more; that particular word shouldn't be used in any manner--even by weak-minded liberals (like you and Hugh) who are otherwise unable to illustrate their point for whatever reason. Stop making excuses for yourself and your fellow douche bags.

The south had no industry, in part, because of northern arrogance and the sectionalism that came out of southern exclusion from Clay's American System. If a southern rail route would have been chosen the south would have (eventually) replaced slavery with industry. Northern business had no problem making a buck on the backs of slaves, they just thought their hands clean in that haughty fashion that persists to this day. The more things change...

I think Obama will (if elected) appoint extreme leftists to the court--especially if he gets 60 votes in the senate as some have predicted. The thing is, however, that the next two justices slated for retirement are left-of-center already (Stevens and Ginsberg--and maybe Bryer), so these appointments would all be status quo. McCain would likely show restraint in his appointments as demonstrated by his refusal to change senate rules during the last confirmation debate. He did, in fact, stand up to his party in that case.

free media was very nicely dismantled by your own GWB, there is nothing left to assult Chavez is from Venezuela you moron. different country. thanks again to gwb, who manages to resurrect soviets. maybe we should be talking about main issue- trade with communist china? That might cost you your evening job at Walmart! I understand that English is your second language, but re-read the post and try to comprehend my Colombia statements as they relate to the pig Chavez. You might also try to read up a little bit on Chavez' ongoing support for FARC and his need for 300,000 new Russian-made Kalashnikov rifles to supply his 64,000-man army. I thought you were just a goof ball but you are, in fact, pretty fucking dumb.

Has anyone used these waxless tele's in a lightweight AT setup? I've never used anything but skins. Do you give up a lot of grip? Do the scales become obnoxious on the downhill? I'm thinking they'd be good for snow-covered FS road-type trips. Any thoughts?
