  1. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2008135118_statemoney24m.html In all, 16 percent of Gregoire's $8.6 million in campaign cash has come from out of state, compared with 3 percent of Rossi's $6.7 million. Were it not for out-of-state money, Rossi could say he's close to matching Gregoire in fundraising.
  2. You must be asleep. Gregoire has more $$$ than Rossi and is running attack ads every half hour. You haven't seen "crying woman" yet?
  3. Well, why is Rossi ashamed to admit he's Republican? He's listed his party as "prefers GOP" because he polls a number of points higher than when he lists "prefers Republican," that's why he wants to confuse the voters, and the King County Democrats want him to wear his affiliation clearly. Doesn't sound desperate or pathetic to me, it sounds like both sides trying to control the conversation to achieve their objective. You know, sort of like a political campaign. Gregoire is listed as "prefers Democratic". Rossi was listed on the primary ballot as "prefers GOP". Why is it an issue only now? Could it have something to do with Gregoire's poll numbers?
  4. If there were a third choice I'd feel better. Right now, he may be the lesser of two evils. Any idea what he's gonna cut from the general fund to pay for his transportation plan? Yeah, me neither. Any idea why Gregoire isn't going to release her plan until after the election? Neither do I.
  5. You know, I can possibly see using the word in a benign manner for effect--and on very rare occasions, but you seem a little too "fond" of it lately, and, frankly, I'm not sure why you're being given so much latitude.
  6. I've never watched MTV. Ever. Is this why I'm not sure what your point is?
  7. Sounds like you're supporting Rossi for governor!
  8. Not until you confess your partisanship and wipe that Demcheese off your chin.
  9. Moms see or hear about SNL's "doin' the kids" skit last week and get pissed. I think you're underestimating the power of indignation.
  10. Vega. Pacer. Luv. K-Car.
  11. Keep it up. It's the nastiness about the Palin's kids that's gonna cost Dems the 2 or three points Obama needs to win.
  12. Our house was built in 1955 and has car-decking floors. I've debated for years about whether to have insulation blown into the rafter space of the cathedral ceiling, but would rather pay the extra $NG bill than do battle with mold. Happy with my old house.
  13. I'll give TTK credit--he's the only lib here willing to admit his party affiliation. How 'bout you just fess up and say it, P: You partake of Donkey teabagging in private.
  14. You should think about the way you paint with such a broad brush. I feel sorry for you. Fucking Demaguzzler.
  15. And what's up with this King County Demokook lawsuit? Truly desperate and pathetic.
  16. I've been hearing Obama's gonna dump Biden. Any of you Demnuts heard this?
  17. We've had one of those big canvas-sleeps-twelve tents for almost 20 years now. It's moldy and smells bad. I'm gonna get one of those teardrop trailers plated in stainless with a mahogany interior and 15 inch alloy wheels. Camping's gonna be great now the kids are gone.
  18. Sounds to me like he's putting his country ahead of politics. Frankly, I think he should go ahead and put Palin up against Obama this Friday. It's certainly a more equitable match up from an experience standpoint.
  19. I'll bet that living in a pressboard home thoroughly wrapped in Tyvek is like sleeping in a moldy sandwich baggie. I've also wondered what some of this new construction will look like 20 or thirty years from now. Condos too.
  20. I honestly don't know. It sounds necessary, but is anathema to my beliefs.
  21. This is the market correction that's been long overdue. I say let the McMansions and the willfully and ignorantly overextended suck it...just like Barney Frank.
  22. I'll have my wife pick one up at a thrift store. What size are you?
  23. Great Caesar's ghost, I do not dare to ask! You're a moron.
  24. My wager still stands. But you have less than 24 hours to demonstrate the true level of your confidence in Obama by accepting my proposal.
  25. Friedman is usually a fair guy, and I can't disagree with too much in his piece, but he blows it in the last paragraph about Bill Clinton--who did NOT write welfare reform, but, rather, was dragged to it kicking and screaming by a Republican congress. I doubt either of the current candidates grasp the issue very much at all. I'm not sure a 'politician' is what this country needs right now.
